My car tyre had a slow puncture yesterday, I noticed it when i pumped my tyres up at the petrol station at 7.15 am, I phoned at 8 am, The guy on the phone said, 'he had an appointment available at 8.30 am'. I was there at the time specified, the car was taken and the puncture was repaired, I was away by 9.00 am. 1st class service, the staff were very polite and helpful. Thank you.

Terrible service , went in for a puncher repair and ask them to call me when the job was done ,1hr 40mins later I went back and was told they can?t fix the puncture as my tyer is bald , which is fair enough but they didnt ring me to say this and I wasnt asked about changing the tyer. This is the second bad encounter I have had with them , I won?t ever use them again !

Just had 4 new tyres fitted to my Kuga. I was concerned before going having read the previous reviews about wheels getting damaged. I found the guys there to be very approachable, professional and happy to listen to my concerns before starting work. They checked my wheels with me present before and after fitting the new tyres. Happy to say, there was NO damage caused. Very professional job. I can only guess that previous bad reviews are people trying it on to get a free wheel repair or they just didn't realise they had kerbed their own wheels. Highly recommended and would use again.

Was not told about needing new inner tubes for our vieclle...it's over 25 years old and we had to go out and get ourselves before they could fit

No stars but it wouldn't let me leave a review otherwise. Useless. Been to them with our vans for many weeks. Since they were bought by Halfords. we CANNOT get anyone to do our vans even after booking a time. We have moved elsewhere now. From a good company to zero in a few days. We have used them for over 15 years and good up until now. A huge, big fat ZERO. Sorry!

have always used them for servicing and MOT of our fiat and told abruptly on phone they are not doing any sort of that work until the New Year so not interested in us - end of that relationship then.

Had a great and speedy experience yesterday as the guys were able to change my tyre which had a puncture on my front passenger side ....until things went downhill.Unfortunately, I had a really busy day and somehow it did not even cross my mind to have a look at the tyre as the keys were handed back to me so I drove off knowing that my tyre was no longer a problem.Later on that day however, I noticed some very deep marks on my alloy that were definitely not there prior to the tyre being changed. I should also mention that I DEFINITELY DID NOT cause the damage myself and as it can be seen from the pictures attached, there is no way a kerb would ever cause this kind of damage from right up against the edge of the alloy.Having noticed the damage, my other half called up the service this morning to inform them of the damage and they asked him if he's sure that it is actually damaged and not "soap marks" from the "soap" they use and asked for the car to be taken back for them to have a look.I then drove back to Universal Tyres and was approached by two employees who were very keen to analyse the damage and straight away said "oh, noooo, that's not from us, there's no way damage like that could be caused by us as our machine does not touch the wheel"....They then proceeded to stare at the alloy in question for a good 2 minutes and were joined by another man who presumably is the owner and they all vehemently stated that there is no way that damage was caused by them. As if this was not enough, they also made sure to inform me that most people tend to scratch and damage their wheels on the same exact front passenger side whilst mounting a kerb..... so in other words, they are putting the blame on me.Despite the owner being so confident that the damage was not caused by his employee, he proceeded to tell me that "the guy is not new, he is qualified and he would not do this. Even if he did, he would come straight to me and let me know....cause he nipped a wheel two weeks ago and he told me straight away".....So the employee could not possibly have damaged my alloy....no way....he's only just done it two weeks ago, he couldn't possibly do it again.....Also, conveniently, the CCTV does not cover the tyre machine and even if it did, it would not capture that much detail, I?ve been told.Unfortunately, what started off as a very pleasant experience, ended up leaving me with a very bitter taste and a hell of a lot of damage to my allow and the owner's words saying "I can assure you my company will not be paying to fix this" .In conclusion, I would definitely NOT recommend this place to anyone and I have attached some photos of the damage they have caused.I have learnt my lesson the hard way and will not be so trusting in the future. I definitely recommend taking photos prior to handing the car keys over to any mechanic and also checking before driving away.

Took it in to have a puncture repaired and came out with my alloys scratched up.They totally wiped their hands of any liability and said they wouldn?t be paying for it. Terrible attitude to customer service.

Having used these guys last year and been really well looked after it was an easy choice to to go back this week for a full set of run flats for our Merc. Outstanding response from Alex and his team? could not have taken better care of us and their level of professionalism and courtesy are a real credit to Universal (and to themselves!) ?. Would recommend without hesitation ?. Thank you and keep doing what you do ?. ???

Excellent service and knowledge..Theses guys go out of their way to make the unpleasant experience of getting Ur car fixed a bearable one!Shout out to Alex, exceptional service.A real credit to this company.
