We use this store for garden materials mostly. Here you can get anything related to garden - fertilizer, soil, seeds, plants, garden implements etc. Occassionaly we buy mechanical tools or electrical tools also.

Seriously, few art supplies shops have this much variety, and there are cheap ones and ok quality ones, too.

I went into The Range in Colchester today in the hope of buying a lamp. There were absolutely no staff on the upper floor, I checked thoroughly. I went to the customer service desk to ask for help and think I interrupted two young ladies personal conversation as they seemed displeased I was there. I asked my question, showed them photographs I had taken upstairs of the lamp in question. Another young lady came to the desk so they asked her and I was abruptly told that the lamp was sold out. She said four had come in a fortnight ago and now they had sold out so buy online. There was no offer of further help like calling other stores. They then turned away from me so I walked out.
I was very disappointed as I often shop here and have not experienced this before. I understand that front line retail is very difficult but I came away today feeling frustrated and saddened
