6pm on a weekday no tills open. only self service.had to queue for these.
i had about 20 items , about 6 times the till froze and had to wait for staff to reset, as i got more and more annoyed a manager stepeed in to tell me to calm down. the till keeps failing i was toldwas because i was not doing right as i touched it.
i explained i dont work here and have not been trained how to do it, so would he like to train me or could he put some staff on atill?
yhen he was too busy and could not leave a female member of staff & a security gaurd alone with a shop lifter. heres an idea open some till then you may not get as many shop lifters.
there is no way to contact any customer service by phone or on line the system just sends you round in circles.

Got treated like a crack addict trying to score my next hit by the assistant at the pharmacy. Not a medically qualified person just a till operator who decided to show off a tiny bit of power and started grilling me about my medical history. I was having breakthrough pain and following my GPs direct orders but she basically called me a liar, smirked and sneared at me. She then tried to state a legislation that doesn't exist to demand I don't purchase a drug in future and get it on prescription against my GPs orders. Ok I'll cost the NHS extra money because my medical condition inconveniences you. Can't lodge a complaint anywhere with tesco so here it is.

Went in the Cafe today at around 10.30 ,ordered my coffee and roll after 10 minutes my coffee arrived, but I had to go up twice to find out where my roll was, eventually after half an hour and finishing my coffee, my roll arrived. No trouble with the roll , lovely. I was then walking around the shop feeling really fed up that I had been kept waiting in the cafe when I saw a member of management, a young lady, that I told her what had happened, were she replied , nothing to do with us, and smiled and said HAVE A LOVELY DAY, I just thought she was being very patronising, and her customer service was bad,

The customer service at the self-checkout is absolutely appalling. Whenever I have gone to buy age-restricted products, I have been asked for ID in extremely condescending and rude ways. Staff have approached me saying 'you cannot buy that, you are not 18' (I am, and they'd know that had they asked for my ID). Another time I tried to buy something, did not have my ID, so returned half an hour later with my ID to purchase what I needed. As soon as I walked into the self-checkout, I was met with an employee raising their voice at me telling me that I had already been refused once and that I cannot make a purchase - no chance to even explain that I had returned with ID. They then followed me to a self-checkout machine and watched me scan every item as if I was some sort of criminal. They then took about 30 seconds to check my ID - it does not take that long to realise that if I was born on this day 18 years ago I am 18. I asked if the employee could potentially be a little more polite next time yet I was met with them denying that they were rude. I get these people have a job to do but there's no need to tell people they're not old enough to buy something before checking and to generally be so rude about it. I wouldn't have left this review but it's happened so many times here that it's really frustrating. Being IDed is not the issue, it's the way in which the staff here go about it. And then comments like 'don't lose that ID, you will need it' after they realise that they are wrong aren't exactly welcome either.

Brought some Thai baht from here based of the Club card price. You can't find this currency on their website so you take it that they are offering the best price. Wrong! If we had gone else where we would have got 1000thb more than we did for the same money.
Don't use this store and don't be pulled in by clubcard prices!!

The shop itself is ok with good choice of items although it does feel rather dated now.
The big downside is the restaurant having to use the awful order points and unbelievably don?t accept cash? clacton tesco is far better

Would have given higher rating if it didn't always stink of sewage. Spoken to others and turns out all of their Tesco's smell the same, even as far as Edinburgh Tesco! Very off putting. I would avoid the toilets like the plague too as they are always filthy, never any soap or tissues and they stink, but not as bad as the actual store....

Served by a very rude and unpleasant member of staff who was very bad mannered, very disrespectful and inconsiderate! Tracey made an irrelevant problem over a simple exchange. When I asked for the manager she was then all of a sudden able to get her colleague on the next till to process the exchange. Very unhelpful member of staff. Belongs in the KAREN community! Just Rude!

Service is poor. Place is unorganised after the "refurb". Seems to be no logical sense to the aisle arrangement. Pharmacy is dire with long waits and often they don't have the prescription they messaged you to collect.

The new layout is awful! Nothing flows with Departments. They have cut back on a lot of selection. Apart from the rain coming in there was nothing wrong with the stock and layout before! Hope we get a Morrisons soon.
