The showroom has a relaxed, non pressure atmosphere, which I really like.Glen, who dealt with my inquiry, was polite and knowledgeable.I was well advised on the suitability of the products I chose, and finally chose a much better alternative, that I hadn't even considered before my visit to the store at Tollgate, Stanway.

Please walk away now. We've had an issue with Tapi for over a year now. Our flooring is lifting and started to in the first year. I've had to colour in the white holes with one of my kids colouring pens to hide the white patches left behind. See pictures. Terrible floor layers see pictures as the patrern doesn?t match even though we paid for extra flooring so that it did maych. The customer service is terrible. We are now having to go to small claims court to get this issue resolved unless Tapi regund us in full ASAP. Absolute nightmare. Please check my other reviews as you will see I am a genuine Google reviewer. You were warned!

Appalled at the service from Tapi Carpets!I firstly had issues with getting my off cuts hemmed I collected them and the ends were not completed which meant I had to return them and pick them up yet again.Secondly within a few months of having my carpet installed I noticed the carpet bobbling, I called to address my concerns sent images via email, someone from Tapi came to inspect the carpet they said it didn?t look right to them so it was referred to the supplier who took ages to get me booked in then once they came to inspect I did not hear anything after 4 weeks!I contacted the store to which they came back with the suppliers reply which was typically, there are no manufacturing defects it?s user error due to shoes being worn!! We DO NOT allow shoes in the one room which is carpeted downstairs!! They are accusing me of causing damage to a Capet which cost me over £1,000 to carpet ONE tiny living room! I spent a bit extra on this carpet as I wanted it to last! The carpet hasn?t even been down a year and it looks years old. I expect better quality products and service for the money I paid!This was my first time buying through Tapi and it will definitely be my last!

The initial selling process went well with a salesman arriving and helping me choose carpet and underlay.I placed the order a few days later and was advised the product would be in store in about 48hours and someone will call to book fitting. A week later I call to chase and am told the product is in the store and they can book me in. Two days later I get an email asking me to make contact to book fitting ?????Fitter arrives on correct day but spills something on my stair carpet which looks like glue but deny, deny, deny until I tell him I will get the insurance company involved.Having checked the work closely I have damaged skirting board, glue on skirting board and my brand new fitted wardrobe, mess piled up in a corner, carpet threads sticking up all round the edge that I have to cut off and a few other issues.The carpet seems good but the service and fitting after selling it to me have been awful!

I can't say a bad word against the Colchester Tapi Team.I went to the store in Stanway with two weeks to go before moving home. I wanted all the carpets replaced as soon as possible due to the state of them.Glen was incredibly helpful when we got there. We very quickly figured out if the lead time was possible, what carpets we wanted, underlays, and ascertained where we could save a bit of money. I walked out of there with the carpets ordered and fitters booked.Glen kept me up to date on the carpets, calling me to let me know when they'd arrived as we were slightly worried. He also suggested that the fitters got to the property as soon as we got our keys which I was fine with.On our move day, I had a phone call from the fitter to check if I had my keys yet (I'd forgotten with the move happening!). I was on the way to pick them up so he said he'd meet me at the property.The fitter, Johno, was brilliant. I've seen a few carpets fitted in my time, and the speed and quality that he did it in was excellent. I was fairly stressed out with the house move and he made suggestions that I hadn't thought of (spare bits of carpet for after I make renovations, reusing what he could.of the existing grippers, carpet under the stairs etc).Johno returned the following day to finish the job (it was 6 rooms, landings and staircase) and again, he worked at a brilliant speed delivering a quality job.I'm so pleased with this service I received - thank you Tapi!

Excellent customer service. Highly recommend.If you want flooring then go to Tapi as they know what they are taking about compared to furniture stores that sell carpet!

My partner and I had recently bought a house in the area and was looking to replace this existing carpets. As most people do, we took a stroll into the nearby carpet stores to see what style/color we wanted etc.Upon walking into the store we was greeted by Sally who was dealing with a customer but said she?d be over to help us shortly which we had no issues with. Once she was finished, she came over, offered us a refreshment and spent at least 20-25 minutes going back and forth with us whilst we decided what to opt for! (we was very indecisive) but she was super patient and helpful.Once we decided and finalized payment, the earliest date was 2-3 weeks for somebody to come and measure up (this was 2-3 before Christmas) so we understood that it would be a busy period. However, whilst driving home after running a few other errands Sally gave us a call and managed to get another colleague to visit us the following day to measure up the carpets for us.All in all the service received from Sally & the branch manager who was the one that came to the house to measure our carpets were extremely helpful and made the experience which can be quite mundane actually exciting. Lastly, we had our carpets fitted today and we?re chuffed and very happy with them. Would 100% recommend Tapi and speaking with Sally or the branch manager (I cannot remember his name, only met him the once!)

I am X Army and I had help with buying a carpet. My house was built in 1926. I had the stairs and landing and all 3 bedroom?s done 2 years ago. I asked the fitter John and he has a guy called Finn Who work?s with John, he did not hoover any of the rooms, landing or stair?s. He cut it to short just met the skirting board. All around the edges are black marks, dust, 2 room?s have not been used as decorating and I showed a new fitter Gary, the dirt from the floor boards that he did not hoover before putting underlay down and the carpet Finn had told me that he?s cut it to short for him to use the tool so a bit of carpet goes on the gripper and then hammered. Customer service skills are appalling. I?ve tried 5 times to ring them today and know answer. My carpet has a 10 year warranty so they will replace the carpet, because I asked John to do it and he ignored me. If not I?ll ring their head office. ?

Helpful with our carpets, easy shop and very accommodating to my son where they closed the door so my 16 month old could run around, play with the toy sheep and colour in at a table.Would use again

Clean and well presented shop with a good choice of all flooring. We ordered vinyl with the help of James (Colchester). We'll worth a visit.

Booked a home appointment. They text to say they were on the way, then cancelled. Without contacting first? Contacted them back an they said they had to rush as they were "busy" but gave an hour and a half window.
