Even though I tried to return the product with everything, they absolutely did not accept it. Because thwy said that it was opened. How can I tell if the product is of good quality without opening the box?that it is not. can you explain this? The product was not used, just the cover was opened and put back. There is a return period. And yet they did not accept. definitely avoid it. do not use. You can definitely find it somewhere else

Colchester store refused to give me a click and collect order for my grandchildren for Christmas from my son's partner in Ireland because I didn't have her photo i.d. We had the order number and confirmation and our i.d. but this officious Christmas Grinch has left three children without gifts. Bah humbug

Click & collect requires photo ID, really!! I don't have any as I don't drive & dont travel abroad! It was a 50 quid toy nothing mega expensive - strange how Argos doesn't ask for this, the order number, email & bank card used to pay should be sufficient .... won't be using this service again, just take a chance that the item is still in stock on the day.

I can't thank the team at Colchester enough for their help with us securing the LOL house for our Granddaughter on Saturday. They took the time to do a thorough search of the store despite the stock showing zero. It was the discontinued version which she had set her heart on. My husband thought he had had no luck but someone found him in the store before he left as they had found one. So so grateful, especially as it was so busy in the store. You made a 6 year old little girls birthday complete.

As mentioned in previous reviews, the ?manager? Lois, uses personal bias to refuse service to paying customers. Completely unprofessional, rude, terrible customer service and grossly misuses her position as ?manager?, as well as lying when being investigated for complaints. Massively shocked that Smyths toys employ such people to represent them as a company!!

I am trying to leave a review about my experience today in one of your shops ( Stanwey Colchester) .I've bought a toy ( fly fairly pull up string, cord) on Saturday for my little girl , but I think the toy was faulty because the string was stuck now and then . It was very hard to use . The toy is for 5+ and my girl is 6 so the toy should be easy to use for her , to be honest It was hard to use for me too.So we decided to take the toy back and to be replaced or to have something else in exchange , but here is the problem , customer service . The lady at the till saw the toy being faulty , she" played "with the toy and she fixed it using force , saying my girl is not pulling correctly the cord or she is not strong enough , blame de kid is not that professional or it is a new strategy of selling rubbish toy. But if is so hard to use and you need to use force to play with the toy that means the toy should be for 8+, 12+ or 40+ .Talking with the manager ( Louis I think) which was absolutely rude , unprofessional , talking with so much superiority and superficially, left me leave the toy there in the shop because I can't use a toy which is faulty3.8 rating review says it all , mostly because of customer serviceThat being said .....this shop is a shop for kids of all sorts of ages ...and should make them happy but this time they left my girl in tears ." Decently priced i thought it was very pricey but when looking else were i still deem it good value for money ? thanks for showing me the wild wild west set aith 2 guns hand cuffs etc ! I bought it from london tho il be back to smyth toys in colchester soon great selection ? great staff too VERY KNOWLEDGABLE

Very poor customer service, purchased a bike for my little girls birthday, the following day.Got home and went to build it that evening only to open the box and realise they had given me the wrong bike!How!?I literally had her sat on the bike in the shop and asked for that one? Surely it?s not that hard!Came back to the store the next day (her birthday)Explain the situation and their mistake and all I get is a measly apology oh and I have to pay an extra £30 for the girls bike.How about waiver the £30 as a good will gesture?Absolutely rubbish!

Very, very poor Customer Services, stroppy, never smile, no warmth, just a very grumpy, serious old bunch. Once u paid for heavy expensive items they abandon you and leave you struggling to your car. Really rotten lot of grumpy staff. A smile, warmth and care costs nothing guys! Only one semi friendly girl at the till. I was told also that once I open a box it's non refunded. .Never heard of the likes. Avoid Avoid Avoid. Go Argos their refund policy is second to none. Go Halford just don't go hereOnce you open a box products are non refundable how can you check a product if you can't open a box.Avoid at all costs rotten store. No wonder it was an empty shop. We don't need this Store or the likes of this , be off with you!
