Purchased a sofa and armchair, which was delivered in July 2023.This already looks old and saggy at the back of the sofa, looks like something in a second hand shop.Just us two adults living here, no heavy use whatsoever.Extremely disappointed with our purchase. May as well have kept the old one! What would you suggest?

Padding in seats not adequate, after care appalling we ended up selling the sofas for a third of the price!

Went into day to look at some sofas but we couldn't walk around without being pested by this one particular woman continuously asking us three times if we needed help we're not the kind of people that like that kind of interaction we like to look at the sofas and browse and take our time without being completely harassed by the staff if we want help we will ask for it we ended up walking out because we felt uncomfortable that we would be asked too many times probably will never go in the shop again because of how many times the same woman came up to us she is not going to get anywhere if she keeps her resting people when we just want to look.

Ordered both sofas and carpet end of september assured of delivery of carpet prior to sofas and both to be delivered by 20th October,No product arrived 20th October with no contact re delays, no contact number either so had to drive into the store to find out 2 week delay.After delay, carpet arrived damaged and caused a further 2 week delay as had to have this refitted however this caused a further trip into store as no communication from company regarding refitting date.Carpet fitter didn't use new Grippers and stated we would get a refund. We emailed 4 times regarding this and had no responses and had to again... make the hour round trip to get our own money back from this company as we had paid for grippers where the Begrudged store manager finally returned our money after another 2 weeks of waiting for a response to our email.Advised they won't be providing any form of compensation or even a sorry.Apparently Customer Service is a new concept to SCS.Will not be using again and I advise you avoid.

Very disappointed when we went round buy a carpet we were told without a surveyor visiting our house to measure, but we had to pay a deposit. We changed our mind and despite being told we could get our money back consistently noone called us back. wWhen we went into store we were told the manager was in a meeting so they would have to phone us. We did eventually get our deposit back, but it shouldn't have been that hard.

For some reason you can get hold of the colchester branch directly, I have to call the Sunderland branch who then sent an email to the manager who never returns your call, We've had to drive down there multiple times just to have a 30 second conversation about our order which could have been done over the phone. Terrible system and service.

Went to buy a new sofa, after past experiences asked if the £3100 price told was same as online price and was told yes. After checking it was actually £300 cheaper online! Lying a%#eholes?. Obviously after their commission. Buy online if you have too! Dishonest salespersons! No wonder you get such bad reviews!

Special call out to the staff here. I've recently had a house fire and am having to replace lots of stuff. I've now bought a sofa and chair from here, and because they were so kind and helpful, I went back to buy the carpet. They have bent over backwards to fit around my timings. Real old-fashioned service - with a smile! This will be my first stop from now on.

ordered a sofa. waited the 3 months for delivery. On the day after waiting in most of it, received a call 5 mins before delivery was due to say it was broken and would take back to repair. On redelivery repair had not been done, now waiting months for a replacement.Received an email from SCS asking me to review the product, but as it was only 1 star and only full of factual info about the breakage and trying to take payment for broken sofa, they will not accept a factual, honest, polite review as it doesn't fit their criteria.Second time buying from SCS and second time faulty sofa has been delivered.

Ordered a sofa, was available for us long before we would need it and we're told in the shop it's not a problem we can hold onto it until your ready. Very quickly got told they can not store the sofa and it must be delivered ASAP. Not wanting to lose the order we found middle ground and had it ordered for the end of Jan.Sofa that turned up was different to the one we ordered (bigger and a curved corner rather than squared off) so didn't fit our room, was first told that's strange as they don't sell the curved version, then later told the manufacturer doesn't make the squared version. All sounded like a throne of lies. They're collecting the sofa Wednesday which we have stored neatly and taken care of for 3 weeks. Not so much as a thank you for looking after it. Shocking service all round ?Been DFS since and waiting for our new much more affordable sofa to be delivered. Cheers SCS, go well.

Went to pick up a carpet which I needed to be folded to fit in my car. Staff stated they cannot help me fold it due to liability if it?s damaged even with my full consent. I had to proceed to fold a huge carpet in my own to fit into my car. Ridiculous policy.

Waited for 12 weeks and had two different arrival dates set for our new sofa to be delivered to have gotten a call the day before my sofa was meant to come to say that it wasn?t and that only half the sofa was ready and we were guaranteed that it would be here before Christmas according to the guy we spoke to and to find out that they have now shut for Christmas, so now we have to wait even longer for our sofa to turn up and haven?t even been given a temporary one for the inconvenience

Lovely and clean place with friendly and polite members of staff who was so helpful and knowledgeable when I asked a million questions (well only about 10) All round a good place for furniture and carpets at competitive prices.
