Visited for my mum?s 80th birthday at lunch time. It was a bit of a shame the air con appeared either not to work or it wasn?t on at lunch time despite the heat wave outside. So while the restaurant wasn?t crowded at lunch time it was a bit stuffy during the meal due to the heat. Services was good and quick, as we had pre-ordered as it was a big group of us can only comment on the ?set menu? for large groups. There was less of a variety than I imaged for the restaurant but understand with a big group they have to keep it short and sweet. Most of us were content with our meal and the kids enjoyed their slider burgers. So before putting a verdict on the food I will have to go back and try the full menu :)

Went here for the first time yesterday for a birthday treat with the family. I can?t praise the service and staff highly enough. Everyone was so pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. Food was excellent, so tasty and well presented. We all had something different, including deserts and not one complaint or criticism. Would definitely recommend to everyone. Well done to all ? Thank you for making this a wonderful memorable occasion.

Food was great but the service was even better, shout out to my man Rishi he was such a pleasure to be around and made our experience 10x better! There was also another server she was like 16/17 (sorry I forgot your name) that was also so lovely and helpful. You guys made my brothers graduation meal super special!

Great place.
Had a Sunday lunch mackerel was delicious.
Had the Mimosa burger and it is juicy and tasty.
The fries were good but to salty for my taste.
Great wine choices too.

Been going to Mimosas for years and unfortunately have seen it going downhill! Went there last night and it just wasn?t a nice experience, the teriyaki chicken starter was just fat on sticks , my partner had risotto for her main dish and it was like rice pudding and swimming in oil ! My salmon dish was ok apart from it was swimming in pea purée and the clientele seemed to have gone south, it reminded me of a youth club!!
I would of given this one star but I gave it two as the staff were friendly and they were apologetic regarding the poor meals.. unfortunately I won?t be going back there again

Food was ok but my wife wondered where they sourced such small mussels. They said there was a kitchen staff shortage after we had a long wait. We were told the dessert wouldnt be long but we left before it arrived.

We went to Mimosa last night to celebrate our anniversary and could not fault the whole evening. The food was delicious and the service was perfect. Rishi and team were super nice and made sure we had everything we needed. We were even presented with a congratulations desert as a surprise. Thank you to all the team for a lovely evening

Rishi was an amazing server, made our whole night! Whatever he's on, pay that man more. Completely enhanced the experience. Lovely restaurant and wine. Highly recommend.

Really disappointing service
When we arrived ( just a walk in, no reservation ) no one approached us , we had to ask someone at the cafe for a table
Only one other table occupied so it wasn?t busy
We took our time to choose what we wanted and when the skewers arrived the chicken was pink . I told the waiter and whilst he was very apologetic and insisted they be cooked further I said I didn?t want anything else thank you .
Unfortunately he then proceeded to tell me that he discussed it with the chef after the chef touched/poked it with his finger and said it was absolutely fine and the chicken as it was a thigh will be pink even when cooked?.
Unfortunately not a good experience

We really loved the decor and the food was genuinely delicious ? it?s clear the kitchen knows what they?re doing. Unfortunately, the experience was let down by poor service. Even though the restaurant was quiet, with only a handful of other tables, we had to wait far too long between courses and again for the bill.
The toilets, particularly the ladies?, were in disrepair and not clean, which was surprising given how empty the place was. As we left, the coffee tables by the entrance were cluttered with dirty mugs and plates, giving the impression that things just weren?t being looked after.
A real shame, as the venue and food have so much potential

Awful experience, we came here for an early dinner/late lunch was completely empty which was fine we thought our food should be on point? it was the complete opposite we ordered starters and mains. Starters came out, the chicken skewers tasted spoilt so didn?t finish it as we didn?t want food poisoning and my prawns and crayfish was completely disgusting. We was starving too but couldn?t eat another bite so we decided to cancel the mains and just paid for the starters and drinks then left. Really and truly we shouldn?t have paid! It?s the second time now that we have had a bad experience food wise. Lesson learnt we will not return again. Drinks are good just too expensive!

Visited this eaterie recently, even after reading some of the really bad reviews. I have to say that I do unfortunately agree with them. The food is well cooked but very overpriced. I understand that they have just rebranded zinnia in Southend into mimosa with still high prices. Did the owners not do their homework & realise that Southend don't want high end restaurants, they have all failed in this town. It's no good having beautiful surroundings, but the food has to match up with them!!!
