Today, I visited HSBC Colchester branch after checking online that it closes at 4:30 PM. I also checked the sign at the door, which stated the same. I had prepared my documents, taken time off work, and drove 25 minutes to the branch, only to find it closed at 2:00 PM due to ?hot weather.? There was no prior notice online, by email, or at the branch door. The branch was fully air-conditioned, and there was no valid reason not to inform customers in advance. This is the most irresponsible customer service I have experienced. I am considering closing my account and will share this unprofessional behaviour on social media to warn others. Disappointed and frustrated.

Honestly the slowest people work here. Close at 2pm so they might aswell get rid off the staff. A short haired, bigger woman who claimed she was Spanish said, ?she changed the number my online banking was associated with and would take 5 days for security to pass.? Then I found out 3 weeks later she never updated my number and have had to use telephone service to transfer money. This is the worst most useless bank it might aswell shut down. These high street banks can?t keep up with the times.

Had my account suspended , so came into the branch to get it sorted out. We were helped by Abby who tried whatever she could to help sort out my problem even though nothing got resolved. Abby was very patient and reassuring, despite us being on hold for almost two hours.

I booked appointment online which found straight forward. I met with a lovely lady called Abby who opened an executor account for us. She was very understanding and sympathetic. Asked some questions and we felt very relaxed and comfortable with the process. When booking appointment it did say rough time frame of how long appointment would take and even with a toddler there too she was professional and patient and ensured we were set up with the HSBC app before we left.

Absolutely terrible. The clerk kept me for two hours to simply set up a simple bank account. They even admitted they had forgotten me which was why I was waiting with my baby for over an hour to just be seen. The senior member of staff named Sally was incredibly rude and not at all helpful. The clerk then mixed up multiple pieces of information about my husband?s bank account and my own with a different person?s account, which we discovered when setting up online banking. Absolutely disgraceful.
