Went to the counter with 4 vinyl lps, paid, and just had them handed to me loose. I asked for a carrier bag and was told they didn?t have them anymore but I could buy a cloth tote bag for £4! Er, no thanks. I couldn?t be carrying them around loose so got my money refunded. Great business model!!!!

I wish I could do zero stars Worst experience ever we bought a brand-new Marley Bluetooth headphones today. we had to take an empty box to the tail because they don?t had it in the box they said is behind the tail than they told us they don?t have it behind the till so they have to get it from the back we haven?t thought any of it as we are on holiday. We?re not rushing we don?t mind. Then we bought the headphone and left .We come back to our holiday say what is hours away from Colchester and realised the charger they put into the box is a different brand and they missing pieces of it, so we can?t even return it Very disappointed with the employees and the store and the customer service never ever go back to hmv ever again

Out of Hmvs, this is definitely one of the better ones being a massive store with a large selection. Though most things in the store are overpriced like most other hmvs.

Use this one quite often. Always been spot on. Popped in Saturday to get some films and they had some live music going which was nice.
Great selection of film and music.
Only issue we had this time was the guy at the counter(nice guy ,chatty) didn't give us the physical copy of the 4k mission impossible dead reckoning. So now we have to go back in again next week to get the display box swapped for the real one .
