Had afternoon tea with my Mum and Sister, it was a lovely treat, we were treated like royalty. The sandwiches and cakes were all very nice.Walkability: You can walk into Castle Park and the City Centre.

Had a fantastic stay at GreyFriars Hotel! The rooms were top-notch, the staff super friendly, and the value for money was unbeatable. Highly recommend for a comfortable and hassle-free stay.

Taken my staff out for Christmas dinner and turned out to be a complete disaster. Not correct food orders, run out of some potatoes and steaks. 2 hours waiting for main course and one person has to wait extra 30 minutes for theirs and eat after everyone else had finished. Manager of the restaurant was very rude and incompetent dealing with the issues. Over charged for items. discount was given but that did not make the evening enjoyable. will not be returning there ever again and do not recommend to anyone.Food & drinks: Food was well below the standard I would have expected from The GreyFriars Hotel Colchester.
