The staff are great at this shop,always friendly and full of banter
Can't beat a bacon roll and coffee for £2.85 .
Hit & miss with how fresh the bacon is !
The only problem with this Gregg's is the just eat delivery guys who are to lazy to park in the parking bays 30 metres from the shop ! They will park on yellow lines or next to glass bottle bank causing an obstruction!

Ordered food in store the chap that served me was some incredible forgetful once i got home with the bag of food items were missing and breakfast baguettes were incorrect order.

Really disappointed. Partner went to get an order for breakfast of 2 baguettes, a croissant, a sausage roll and hashbrowns. Had to remind them to give hashbrowns. We get home to find they forgot the sauce in the baguettes and the bacon. They didnt give a sausage roll either. Call up to complain and are told we will have to come back to correct it. With 2 kids that's not a viable option and the response was of indifference at best.

Apparently drivers think it's OK to park on double yellow lines and block the view for crossing the road. There is a large car park right next to the store or a loading area round the back!!! Not very considerate of the driver. It's not a one off either. This needs addressing. Trying to cross with the dogs tonight was very risky!!!

This was my first visit to a Gregg's Bakery and I was very pleasantly surprised. The shop, cafe, restaurant was immaculately clean. The staff were attentive, polite, friendly and efficient. As a vegetarian I was a little apprehensive but I had nothing to fear. There was lots for me to choose from and the food was very tasty. The branch that I visited was located in Colchester Essex. I recommend for a snack, light lunch or tea/coffee and cakesDietary restrictions: There were both vegetarian and vegan options available
