This is the best pharmacist I have used in Colchester. Great communication, efficient and good service. I always get a text telling me when my prescriptions are ready to collect, I've never had to queue or wait long and my items are always ready. Faye in particular is an extremely efficient member of staff and she has gone out of her way on a couple of occasions to help me when there has been a query or mix up with my GP's and or prescriptions. I no longer dread going to the pharmacy now! 5 ?

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. I attended at 5.52pm (closed at 6pm). My prescription was located at 5.55pm I was informed that it would take too long to collect my medication, even though I said it was urgent.
I have never come across NHS staff who are so rude and uncaring. I would highly recommend using the local Boots; staff are caring and friendly. I would rather go without medication than go back there.
Day Lewis ungently need to train their staff and adhere NHS guidelines on how to speak deal with patients. I?m completely disgusted with them

I don't think pharmacies have been the same since the pandemic!
I moved from one Day Lewis because their service was just awful and I am considering moving again because the service here isn't good at all either! Trying to get through on the phone, is all I'll say is allow an hour or so to get an answer, if lucky.
I eventually did get through, but shockingly was then told it would take, not one, not two, not three, and not even four but 5days to actually process...This is for just 2 items which is a 12 month repeat prescription.
Just to put this wait into perspective I once walked the whole 96 miles of the west highland way in the time it's going to take to process 2 boxes of medication!!
Since writing my review 3 weeks ago, I have since received a positive response to my review. I was also able to speak personally to the pharmacist, who explained Day Lewis is currently going through a new process for medications with a new Hub and computer system. My last collection for medications was quick and efficient, I am pleased to report. Thank you Day Lewis.

Really lovely staff! I have to go in every two weeks for my prescriptions and everyone is so welcoming when I go in. Yes, sometimes they're stressed because it gets busy but it never shows to the customers. I'm always greeted nicely and have a lovely chat with the girls & the pharmacist is very knowledgeable and calls up when you've had new meds to make sure everything is okay. Would definitely recommend! Much nicer than bigger pharmacies out there that's for sure.

After years collecting meds from this pharmacy, I have reluctantly transferred to another. There is a lady who has worked there for years. She is lovely and knows most people by name, but some of the newer staff have let the place down. Also, getting through on the phone is impossible

One member of staff at the day Lewis pharmacy on Harwich Road is very friendly and yet when you call the pharmacy you can't get through and sometimes they take the phone off the hook and ignore the phone and if or when you do finally manage to get through to them all they is ' sorry we're very short staffed or we're very busy ' and then when you go to the pharmacy there's no one waiting to speak/collect their medication.

I have been a customer at Harwich Rd for a few years now.The staff always go above & beyond to help even when I can see they are extremely busy. They are knowledgeable & friendly.The new daylewis app makes things so much easier to order my prescriptions.The new pharmacist is very helpful, always has time to listen & offer advice. I for one will not go anywhere else.Keep up the good work!
