A very nice movie theatre in town! Just a little bit sad cuz they do not have Kunfu Panda 4 this time. Watched Dune 2 here, very nice sounds and atmosphere!

I will never go to another cinema again if I can help it. I had a lovely glass of wine and pizza before seeing Dune 2. I was a little worried about the timing as I only had about 20 mins until the film started but the lovely lady said to me "oh don't worry you've got plenty of time, this showing has some adverts", which was super thoughtful and helpful. I love the decor and the balcony upstairs is beautiful. The staff are so lovely, I needed to nip to the loo and asked the barman to hold onto my drink which they graciously did. He was so friendly and really put me at ease! The goats cheese and caramelized onion pizza was delicious, thin crust and the perfect combination of crispy and chewy. And the cinema itself feels so comfortable with cosy lighting and the comfy recliner seats are an absolute MUST. I just love popping in here and after this experience, I am really considering a cult membership!

First time visiting this cinema today, not sure why I have never been before as this place is way better than the Odeon, it was cleaner, better prices and better selection of food and drink. The staff were also friendly and helpful which is a real bonus. Will certainly come him to see films in the future.

Lovely venue to watch films. Comfortable seating, great food and drink options. It costs a little more but it's worth it!

A lovely little cinema! Really comfortable and spacious. Only downside was walking all the way to the top floor to discover the second bar was closed, a shame as there?s a lovely balcony area up there too.

First time at Curzon. Sat in the second row unfortunately it was too close - ended up with neck ache by constantly looking up. One positive is the seats are very comfortable and there's not a huge amount of seats so there's not too much disturbance from other patrons.

Really disappointed today with our first visit. Not enough staff working so had to wait a long time for drinks etc when we arrived. There is a small slope at the top of the stairs under the carpet that is not highlighted in anyway, we tripped over it both on the way in and on the way out, this could be dangerous if it was an elderly or disabled person. There was a reflection on the bottom right hand corner of the screen and the adverts that were shown prior to the movie were not suitable for a child. We were watching Barbie which I appreciate is a 12a however for example one advert was about suicide in women (without even a trigger warning) and on another a man was about to have his neck broken during a fight. With a film like Barbie shown in the afternoon I would have hoped that you would have anticipated a slightly younger audience. The toilets were dirty. The only plus that has made me give it more than one star was the reclining seat.

Brilliant. Great service as soon as we arrived, food very well cooked and presented and great wine and beer selections. When did a cinema treat you like adults, reclining seat, food and glass drinks whilst watching film. At 55, I feel all grown up, thank you for a gr8 evening.

Family favourite cinema, personal experience, comfy seats in a small screened studio, excellent staff, good choice of food and drink (the doughballs and Pitta with hummus and pesto oh my!), good range of times for films and membership that gives you free passes, and discounted food and drink. What's not to like???? Parking at Britannia car park = 3 min walk

You will benefit from a whole evening out 'experience' at the Curzon and it feels like a real treat !Every is so kind of 'upmarket' yet cool! The building here in Colchester is the old Keddies independent department store and they've maintained the whole warehouse feel which only adds to the whole modern industrial atmosphere. There is a café/bar located on the ground floor offering very good coffee, hot chocolate, cold drinks and very tasty bakes such as large cookies.Another bar is located on the 2nd floor with a cool lounge-feel benefitting from light pouring through large bi-fold doors that lead to a large terrace framing fantastic views across Colchester, particularly beautiful at sunset. The auditorium seats are brilliant! Cool upholstered, wide, reclining chairs, with side- trays for your beverages, that are well spaced between each row so there is no need to stand up if someone needs to nip past you!VERY roomy! The side tables feature QR codes that allow you to order food or drinks & I believe it can be brought direct to your seat, although I've never tried.Staff are very welcoming, warm, friendly and helpful. They couldn't be nicer. The toilets are lovely and clean also, especially compared to other cinemas ! They even have hand cream available aswell !
