Really friendly staff, great advise given to me on tablet I was looking to purchase for a client of mine. Didn't come with a box but they made one up for me.
Best part of the experience is they didn't make me feel like just another customer I felt like they had time to engage in conversation. 10 out of 10

I highly rate CEX.
But last Monday I bought a phone, got it home and it didn't work. I was offered store credit when I tried to return it, which is a bit of a joke... Genuinely lovely member of staff got it working and on that basis I walked out with it.
It's been 8 days and it's completely packed in rendering it non-refundable.
Don't know what to say really. It's a second hand phone, but it feels like I was robbed and they just wanted it off their stock.
Edit: and before you suggest I return it under warranty, I've wasted £100 and 2 days of time and countless hours retrieving contacts etc, so the best bit of worth I got from it was when I hurled it at the floor. ?

The manager of thos store should be fired refused to test a Sonos speaker at 5:30 pm.then saud he would test it at 3pm rhe next day then because j was unhappy about thus and saud i was gonna ban my accommodation going to ban my account this is man is known in colchester for giving cex an awful reputation!!

Refused to take my phone despite it not only being perfectly working but less than 2 years old the reason a minor basically unnoticable more or less cosmetic dent on the side that would never affect the phones capability. I have bought phones in worse condition from them before
