Increasingly poor service over recent years has now reached the point where I ring to make an appointment (because the surgery has texted me, telling me to make an appointment) and find I am 18th in the 'phone hold' queue! This is totally unacceptable.(However, let it be clear that when I have actually managed to see GP Dr Gladwyn, she has been excellent. But that was about 18m ago). The lack of provision for covid vaccinations, which could easily have been carried out alongside flu vaccination (as many practices did, eg at Capel St Mary), this 23/24 season is also unacceptable.

Being a health professional, I am well aware of some of the recent disturbing practices in GP practice, mainly non-medical staff giving inappropriate medical advice and lack of appointments. With this in mind, I have personally never had anything but good things to say about my own surgery who have always been accommodating, professional, compassionate + efficient, especially when my daughter was critically unwell. I do not request an emergency appointment/ask for priority unless absolutely necessary to reduce pressures - too much of a ?I want it now? culture out there! Well done guys, keep up the good work!

I have been a patient since 1997, the service is now practice focused with a defensive approach to any criticism. I took 12 phone calls from the practice to get through a standard process. It's no wonder the NHS is so busy, it is just inefficiency-ridden and rules driven. There seems to be no focus on client service, even the practice admin manager failed to get a form emailed to me after committing to do so.It used to be so much better and personal but with all the new development going on locally I fear it can only get worse.

Poor all round Dr Cole should be sacked. Because she said my mum had an infection back in November. I was not happy with the diagnosis. So I took my mum to Colchester General hospital. Where she was admitted directly to Broomfield to find out her cancer had come back. And before the 4th April when my mum passed away. Dr Cole was sent to make things better with my mum and me. I am not having it. She was meant to have a medical review in January on her birthday. But it's a bit to late. As Dr Cole comes to mu mums address and said you have not been seen since January at the surgery. That was bull she saw mum in November. So I have been facing a up hill battle with the surgery to get my medical records. I am saying this don't go to Ardleigh surgery to be seen go straight to the hospital .

Having been with this surgery for nearly 7 years and noticing a decline in the pharmacy I feel the need to write this review. Myself, I have noticed the slow process of medication being processed to Dedham chemist. However, my husband collects his prescription from the surgery and over the last year has noticed that the process is not only slowing up and there is a need to telephone the pharmacy to chase up medications. You would think it would be more proficient with a 3 hour break in the middle of the day.

Not possible to get an appointment with GP. A completely broken system which delivered zero value for money for us as taxpayers. Productivity is so unbelievably low. Using Covid-19 restrictions ( which are massively out of date in 2023) as an excuse for poor performance. Rude and unhelpful receptionist. 19th-century phone line. No online option for appointment bookings. Go private only answer for a such a shocking waste of our money.

I have nothing but praise for the staff at Ardleigh Surgery. They are brilliant with my son who has a LD and kind towards him. I?ve never experienced a rude receptionist or GP?s who do not listen. I think with the difficult times they?ve had to face, they are doing a brilliant job.

Terrible surgery, pushing people to go private due to a lack of compassion and terrible management. 4 years my family have been registered here and it?s gone rapidly downhill.Very sad state of affairs.Having left this review my wife and I have had an appointment with the practise manager and she is wonderful. Sadly I wish the GP?s had a only fraction of her understanding and compassion.Thank you for speaking with us.

I am honestly so disgusted with some of the doctors at this surgery! I have recently had a consultation face to face with a doctor to discuss my concerns with the vaccine. Basically, because the doctor is pro vaccine, as per all health professionals, or they wouldn?t be in a job, I was basically shoved away with no regard for my mental health and the vaccine is mandatory that?s it. There was no listening to me regarding my natural immunity, my life style, my choice. It didn?t matter. Absolutely disgraceful. You should not let your personal opinion impact and make judgment!

A surgery working in the dark ages. Numerous misdiagnosis?. Bunch of failed doctors working to keep their jobs with a ?it?s not my job? attitude. Go private or you?ll regret it ? ?
