I have been going to this gym for a month now and I have loved every session there. It is not as busy as all the other gyms I have been to. The staff are nice and friendly. It is always clean and the machines are well maintained.

Quiet gym with lots of equipment and a studio room upstairs. At the times we went: 7-9pm, there were only around 4 other people, so we could also get onto the equipment we wanted.
Good parking available and the staff will add you to a list meaning you won't have to worry about getting a ticket.
The owner was super friendly. He let us end the 12-month contract early when we moved away.

BE WARY OF THIS PLACE(A GYM BUSINESS MODEL THAT ENCASHES YOUR NON-USAGE OF THE GYM)Please be very wary of this name. When I signed up I was told that it is a standard contract and if needed I would be offered flexibility, especially in the event of any illness that prevents me from using the facilities. Post covid I suffered from a condition called exercise induced rhinitis - a condition characterized by intense breathing difficulty followed by physical exertion. I got intensely sick after few sessions at the gym preventing me from using the gym after the first few days. I called up and intended to cancel the membership when I was told that there is the flexibility to freeze it until I feel better. I was charged for the fob for its inactivation, further ensuing that I am not using the facility. What followed was intense texting campaign asking me to reinstate the direct debit even though I only used the facility for few days. When I didn?t reinstate, the messages took the form of coercion and threats of credit control agency taking over payment affecting my credit score. For a gym usage of less than a month, I am now approached by credit control agency for more than 300 pounds, thanks to the sneaky fine print in their contract, that you don?t anticipate when signing up for a gym and that counts on you not using the facility but still extracting money for it. As a gym they had not even heard of a condition called exercise induced Asthma which further raises question on their positioning in the health and wellbeing industry and definitely doesn?t inspire confidence. I was asked for a doctor?s note stating that I have the condition like this. How would the doctor confirm this? Make me work out to induce an intense asthma attack? But that?s not their problem. As long the money keeps coming in.I would stay away from businesses like this who run on such shady profit hungry philosophies and not selling what is on the tin. An environment for health improvement is what you expect from a gym, not an extortion agent. But, that?s probably what you would end up getting from this place.

Me and my wife recently viewed a few gyms in Colchester as we were looking for a place to get fit. All the gyms we saw had great equipment and the prices were similar, however the team at Anytime fitness stood out from the rest. It wasn't just their knowledge, it was how welcoming they were. They understood our nervousness in joining a gym as we are both unfit, and made us feel at home. We have now joined and enjoyed our first training session. If you're a newby, we definitely recommend giving this place a try.

East Colchester Anytime: Chris (Cris? - who cares) Christian Gormley, that guy and Dean, top level blokes, honestly. Really welcoming, very professional and knowledgeable. Best environment, chilled out. I really can't rate this branch high enough. Shower rooms are always spot on as well, machines always in excellent working condition. Quality place with quality staff.

I recently lost my ring at AF colchester east and the team there were incredible, they went above and beyond to help me search the gym and then checked cctv for me. Hopefully it turns up soon. They even checked in on me the next morning because my fob hadn?t worked! (No fault of theirs - I just needed to renew my membership with the branch I'm a member at) The time, effort and care the team put in to help me even though i was just visiting is so highly appreciated, more than i could have hoped for. Thank you all!! It means a lot!

I was never into gym and stuff like that but this gym was always such a nice and positive space with awesome facilities that I have started going 5 times a week. Another great thing is that they are open 24/7, so you can find the best time for you. Highly recommended and they have very friendly and helpful staff.
