Website was a little slow on a Sunday afternoon. Nevertheless managed to order and book in our car for new front screen wiper.
At the shop they were ready and waiting for my arrival. Proceeded with the job in hand. Very efficient and knowledgeable.
Overall very pleased.

A large store with everything you need for your car and has a lot of motor and travel accessories. It has computer screens to enter your car reg number and tells you the correct type of item you need eg. best oil for your engine. Staff were very helpful and told me about the Halfords motor club I could join for special offers.

Wow went to Clacton store to change the back wiper blade on my car and change a side bulb ! Guy failed to be able to open the bonnet ! And did not know how to change the back wiper ! I did the wiper myself in 2 mins and nothing wrong with the bonnet catch !

I purchased a bike , all accessories, insurance the whole package , booked a slot to collect approximately 10 days later. When I arrived with my receipt I was informed that I did not purchase a bike , that they had one in stock they could build for me if I paid the price. I had already paid for the bike , but had to return to the store the following day to complete an extra purchase that was missed out of my order , thus was a name plate. So on collecting the bike and my other purchases I was told that I had not purchased a bike that the money had been refunded to my visa debit card , it had not , I was then told my receipt did not have my visa debit card number on it . After much deliberating it emerged that a staff member had refunded the cost of the main purchase being the bike to their own account, then had taken my purchase as I had paid but the took the bike themselves, I was made to feel as if I was attempting to get the bike I paid for for free, and made to look like a criminal. It was only when the manager became involved that he realised a staff member had committed fraud and a crime . I was asked to return later that day to collect the bike and my other purchases, on returning to the store all staff members that had dealt with me previously were not on the shop floor , I was served by a completely different staff member who handed my purchases to me, I explained that the bike was assembled incorrectly and as a good will gesture she gave me a bike spanner kit for free for the inconvenience! I am appalled at this experience and I am now after seeking advice going to report this to the police.

I will never shop at this store again. I bought a new car key battery. They did not text me to say that it had arrived and, although I fitted it myself, I did not have the strength in my fingers to snap the key back together. The man refused to help me and suggested that I watch a YouTube video or drive 2 miles to the nearest Timpsons who would help me.

The bike was lovely! & made up in good time.
But to our disadvantage when we got home e noticed there was some scrape damage & marks om one off the mud guards fitted to the bike. If this was done while it was made up or if this was the way it was when unpacked I certainly wouldn't off accepted it if I had seen it from walking out of the shop. To off paid almost £180 for a present for our youngest daughter for Xmas I would off thought it should of been in good condition throughout. Not sure what can be done now. Let's hope the doll carrier covers it over. Not sure if a replacement mud garden is applicable. Regards Mr & Mrs Mills
