There ok to take games into to change
But any item I have ever taken with a plug on is always refused even though it says they take the stuff in on the web site.

Visited the Clacton-on-Sea CeX and had a bad experience. Staff were rude and unprofessional, both towards each other and to customers.
One male staff member made a female colleague uncomfortable, mocking her when she couldn?t find a discontinued game. It didn?t come across as banter ? it left her looking worried and uneasy. On top of that, staff were blunt and dismissive when serving me, especially when it came to the price of the tablet I was selling.
As a customer, it made the whole atmosphere feel hostile and unwelcoming. I think CeX management needs to look at how this store is being run ? both for staff morale and for basic respect to customers.

Terrible staff, They idle chat when there's a que, they obscenely insult anyone that enters and leaves the store and refuse to provide any assistance.

Its great to still have a gaming/ electronics shop in Clacton.
The staff are always friendly and helpful and you can get some good bargains.

I brought a game today, staff were friendly, polite and pleasant. Cartridge has a small mark on it, but the game is working fantastically. For a few pounds, I cannot complain. Overall very happy :)

Used the store 3 times now. Never used you company until recently. Been buying a load of ps3 games about 15 so far. Great selection and just a couple of quid each. I like they are all well organised and the shop tidy. I liked the staff advised me 1st time I used the store if I wanted multiple titles, best to drop them on the counter as I go, that way I'm not waiting for all the discs to be found at the end.
What I found could be improved is twice I have purposely picked out the original game case and not the Platinium titled one. Both times I have been given the disc with the big yellow Platium logo on. The 1st time I didn't notice until I got home. 2nd tune I learned, and caught it. Yes I know I could have brought it back for refund, but wasn't worth it for 2 quid. Perhaps staff could be told.avout this, because as time goes on, more of these platinum (the value series) games will be sold as it was a ps2 but mainly a ps3 thing so will be more of a problem as they gain popularity.
I found all the games to work. All with the acceptable scratches was fine. But all discs are dirty. I know they are cheap, but every time there have been 3 mebers of staff behind the tills and I would hope one of them could at least dust the discs before putting into cases. Again, I didn't ask to find out if they could do that. But asking seems excessive.
Overall I liked the concept of the shop and was good to be able to browse retro games in an actual shop, like it would be years ago.

Replaced a faulty phone with a delaminating screen. They kept me informed at all stages and I really appreciate this level of service. The replacement phone was better than the faulty one!
