Outstanding Service at Tesco Express ? 185 Manford Way, Chigwell IG7 4DN
I would like to take the time to highlight the exceptional customer service I received from Theeban Ramanathan at Tesco Express, 185 Manford Way, Chigwell IG7 4DN.
Recently, I was shopping for a birthday cake for my father-in-law and wasn?t sure which one to choose. Theeban went out of his way to help me find one of the best cakes available in the store. His help made a big difference, and the cake turned out to be a fantastic choice.
I was also planning to buy four different types of Coca-Cola, and Theeban suggested I purchase a multi-pack instead to save money. It?s rare to find someone who genuinely looks out for the customer?s best interest. Not only that ? he even carried the heavy pack to the till for me. That small act of kindness was much appreciated.
I?ve lived in the area all my life and have been shopping at this Tesco Express for many years. Until recently, I never felt acknowledged ? no greetings, no smiles, no help, and never once offered a basket. Since Theeban joined the store a few weeks ago, I?ve noticed a real and positive shift in the atmosphere.
He always greets customers with a warm smile, offers help without being asked, and makes sure people feel welcome. If a product is missing from the shelf, he asks me to continue shopping while he checks the stockroom, and he always brings it to me directly. If the item isn?t stocked at all, he suggests useful alternatives and even promises to raise it with management to try to get it added in the future.
He also takes the time to explain current offers and promotions. I used to just pick up a sandwich and a drink, until Theeban told me I could get a snack included in the meal deal. When I explained I don?t eat chocolate or crisps because I prefer healthier options, he personally showed me the healthy snack range and walked me through everything that was included ? including the fact that coffee is also part of the meal deal!
This level of care, attention to detail, and genuine willingness to help is exactly what our local community needs. Theeban is professional, thoughtful, and goes to great lengths to ensure a great customer experience.
Tesco is very lucky to have him. Staff like Theeban make a real difference and deserve recognition. I truly hope his efforts don?t go unnoticed ? he has completely transformed the atmosphere in that store.

The asian lady behind the til has who has served me on several iccasions has over charged me.
Why ?when the til does all the math? She also needs to be more helpful and polite, shes very rude..

Tesco speak with your staff about hygiene everyday I go in here the smell of sweat and body odours is appalling.

me and my 19 year old sister went to tesco because my mum wanted whiskey for her birthday party. my sister went to the register asked for the whiskey and got asked for id (she didn't have an issue showing it) he then proceeded to ask for my id as well and since im only 15 i obviously don't have one. after we explained this he started saying that he can't sell it because of challenge 25. my sister also works in retail and her boyfriend does as well so they're both very well trained to deal with challenge 25. there was absolutely no sign of them wanting to buy it for me. for all they know i could be her daughter. we then went to the nisa next door and they had no issues selling it. i think tesco employees should redo their challenge 25 training.

Even they don?t deserve a single star pathetic arrogant and rude staff, never saw a single smile on to their faces, especially elba or elbo that is his name full of misery and rudeness. The manager should have to do something about it. I live local and always prefer to do my household shopping from this but when ever I came across from the staff I am always feeling that why should I have come to buy stuff from here. Manager this is your responsibility to notice this

The lady from there should get fired.. no customer service and lazy she barely scam an item? evri parcels they don?t print out and the heck they send you to?Please get some capable staff working there.

This tescos should close. Staff complain about their work too much. Unhelpful in store. Their Evri collection is a nightmare, their lotto and scratchcard never works. All round waist of time. Fridge always breaks down and there is always a pungent smell near the bread rack.Thank God for their neighbours NISA. Just close already.

I have only good words for Bradleyz, God all the employers should be like this men, this men is the hand of God I swear! He is always helping and always nice with customer, he is the most amazing from the store and he always solve problems with parcels but always, this guy should be manager! Well done, I hope team will take an example from him because not all the people are nice in this store but they are a few nice as well! Thank you Bradleyz for all your work and for all your kindness!!!
