Took my Mackie MR5 mk2 speakers in after a friend blew their drivers. Front of house Al is an absolute legend of a bloke and though they were very busy, he still took on the repair. Got them back yesterday and they sound amazing. This is literally the only place in Chelmsford, perhaps even Essex that I would trust with my electrical gear. Thanks lads!

Hello,I called into their Chelmsford shop, on about 3rd August. The guy serving was very helpful, and spent time going thru' aTV aerial problem that I was experiencing. They also repair home entertainment equipment, and sell cableby the metre, and television aerial accessories. This sort of 'old fashioned service' is hard to come by, and customers from miles away send in their Hifi equipment for repair. So I have no hesitation recommending them.Stewart

It's so hard these days to find technicians (let alone local ones) who can work on vintage audio equipment at component level. The shop itself is tiny and a vintage hifi Aladdin's cave inside, but the service (Alex front of house, Tony the technician) is friendly old school. You can't judge a book by its cover!Tony managed to repair my 30 year old Technics TR-555 twin cassette deck which had lost all audio output. I had checked for obvious faults but could not diagnose the problem with the PCB.You pay a £30 inspection fee which then is deducted from the final bill if you proceed with the repair (based on the estimated cost). Mine was quite an expensive repair because the fault was not obvious and Tony had to do a lot of detective work and strip the unit down. The way I look at it, if you want your vintage equipment serviced by someone who knows what they are doing, you have to be prepared to pay for the expertise and labour. I was also happy to be patient for a few weeks while Tony worked on it and replaced parts. I now have a fully tested functional deck which is working like new. Am very happy and would highly recommend Tony to others seeking repairs to cherished vintage hifi equipment.

Wasn't able to find the super specific audio part I needed, but service was very friendly and helpful.

Visited this outlet twice over a period of 4 months. Not many shops like this left unfortunately. Service faultless and extremely satisfied with the advice and repairs.

Have been really pleased with the work that Tony carried out for me regarding repairs. Would recommend this company to others, old fashioned little shop with old fashioned values.
