For out of the country auctions, some good and some bad. This MBE is one of the shipping companies recommended by the auction house.The biggest issue is the communication. They have a great web interface to enter the auction information, and the confirmation is perfect, with all item and address details and even pricing. But that's where the communication ends.Emails are rarely answered, the phone is answered on some days, other days it won't be answered at all. And that web interface...you will never see it again. You cannot pay by credit card (over the phone) or even on-line - it must be paid via bank transfer, which often adds fees, fails for one reason or another, takes extra time, etc. So I had to call once or twice a week, overseas, to be sure things were happening (they got the item, they have the correct information, they received the bank transfer, ship date, etc).In the end it took 1 month from the end of the auction to ship the item, and that was only because I was calling and emailing a lot. I have no idea what would happen to someone who simply waited for an invoice, paid and then waited for the package.They are actually quite nice to talk to, they just seem overwhelmed and unable to handle so many auction items. To be fair, I was given the choice of another shipping company. But MBE was half of the cost, so some of the blame is on me. I went for the cheaper, and therefore slower and more difficult option.But the item was very well packed, took just a couple of days in transit, and worked out great in the end. For an item of very high value, maybe consider other options.

Avoid this logistic provider.The local auction house in Chelmsford is suggesting their customers to use them in order to ship items.Amost one month after I contacted them, the parcel is still not sent. They almost never answer the phone or emails.

After travelling all over town and beyond to figure out how to send out a package via FedEx urgently overseas (FedEx's systems were wonky and not accepting credit cards and we do not have an account) I ended up here VERY close to the fringe time of getting the package out on time. I SO wish I had got the woman's name who helped me - I was so frazzled that I completely forgot - but she was SO helpful! Calm, good sense of humour, and worked through the somewhat complex system of getting the package properly assigned for customs and assure it would arrive on time. It was terribly important for my boss, and she treated my urgency as if it mattered just as much to her. I cannot speak more highly of the service I received there! The cost was more than if I had my own account (obviously they have to make a profit for the work they do), but in kind, it was WAY less than if I had just used a credit card and had it picked up - so that was a nice bonus as well!Thank you, lovely lady - I am so sorry I did not get your name - but please know you were HUGELY appreciated!

Above and beyond!I cannot recommend Mail Boxes Etc. (Chelmsford) enough. I popped in to enquire about some order of services for my wedding and James could not have been more helpful. He helped me fix the margins and made helpful suggestions to improve the font, layout, colour and what paper to use. The order of services were then printed in record time and ready to collect within a few days. Absolutely beautiful and one less thing to worry about for the big day, thank you!

MBE Chelmsford have been very professional and highly responsive and all staff have been very helpful. I needed to have items packed and posted to Australia. They replied quickly to all emails and were very helpful on the phone. James in particular was great to deal with. When the items were packed they offered two methods of transport and a recommendation about which to use which was a big help. I wouldn't hesitate to use MBE Chelmsford again and to recommend them.The two parcels have now arrived and the contents (including a picture with glass) are in a perfect condition - very well packaged by MBE.

Mailboxes Chelmsford have come to my rescue so many times. I cannot fault the service and quality of their work. All emails have been replied to promptly, service quick and reasonable prices. Our tuition company uses MBE for large scale printing and photocopying. James in particular has always gone above and beyond to provide the very best service for us in what is often, incredibly tight timeframes. We are extremely grateful to MBE for all they have done over the years and certainly would not hesitate to recommend them to others!

I purchased one lot consisting of three items from T W Gaze auctions at Diss.The lot was inexpensive but valuable as a collector to me.I engaged Mail Boxes etc (Chelmsford) to pick up the lot from T W Gaze, pack the lot and ship to me at home.They arrived this morning in a large box.Each of the three items was very well packed.Secured in its own compartment within a box, each item wrapped in 2 layers of bubble wrap and separated from the others.They were protected with packing peanuts from each other. The box was then placed in another box and the gap between the walls of the two boxes packed solid with packing peanuts.Can?t fault their care or professionalism.Would use them again without thought!

If posible i will leave a - star for this branch. Totally no response via email, do deal with them only if you have phone service. This is a huge issue since I was overseas and I did mention to delay shipping of my item. Guess what, item was shipped right out after payment and I wasnt even notified, no email, no phone call. Not until I asked for a tracking number and found out that the parcel was already on delivery. Thanks to parcelforce "excellent" service of leaving my parcel with a neighbour but WITHOUT any note, the parcel is missing somewhere in the building, or might not even in my building. DO AVOID THIS BRANCH AT ALL COST

overweight male on reception is nothing short of a theifPrinted my documents in black and white and charged me colour rate of £1 per pageI asked why charge me in colour if not printed...."that was your instructions"You absoloute tosspot. If the document is unable to be printed in colour, therefore not using colour ink..why are you charging for a colour service.Hope they go out of business soon, crooks

Staff are rude and unprofessional, lie about minor things and shout at you for no good reasonDo not expect to have an amicable conversation, you should expect a troll on the desk who hates his job and is fed up with life..he will in turn make your life miserable.Avoid like the plague, like the other recent reviews.. stay clear

this place is one complete joke they charged me £60 for an envelope parcel from them to London the lady who works in the shop is very unhelpful and seems to be trained to just take your money the only reason i used them as an auction house I used didn't deliver PLEASE DONT USE THEM

I purchased from auction and MBE collected, packed and shipped for me. I was given a range of options for shipping, all at a reasonable cost.Fragile item packed very well and arrived safely. Despite the lockdown restrictions the service was fast and the item arrived quickly.Highly recommended for auction purchases and other shipping needs.
