Rather give no stars the call centre is absolutely atrocious, took ages too get though and they didn't sort out my problem and keep sending me to different departments and the wait is too long

Absolutely rubbish experience with Halifax call centre. I tried to send small amount of funds to my son. Because I did not know my password, I was blocked and asked to call the customer service. I did. I wa interviewed for over 45 minutes. I gave all the the answers to beyond satisfaction. He interviewed me like a lawyer instead of helping me. I've been with Halifax for nearly 20years . Treated me like a criminal. I've been banking since 1974 and never been spoken to so rudely. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. Zero out of 10 for customer service skill.

Terrible and rude staff on a power trip "greeting" you at the door, on entry to branch experience gets even worse. expecting customer to provide 3 proofs of address and original of the tenancy agreement (that was electronic on docusign so how?) to open account. Seems like if you're not english you get 2nd class citizen treatment. Wouldn't recommend this bank to my worst enemy.

Queuing for the counter can take too long. Happens too often. Most of the time one member of staff too short. Complained recently. Need a coffee and biscuits and seat if were waiting more than seven minutes.
