“Took my Fiesta in for its first MOT, appointment booked by phone which was answered promptly and nice chatty guy on phone who booked appointment for me. Was asked to deliver car at 8am which I did and met by guy who said it would be done immediately and would take around 40 minutes, invited to wait or come back. I decided to go to the Costa Coffee in the Clock Tower retail park which was a 5 minute walk away. Returned in 45 minutes and car was ready and had passed with no advisories, charged £48. Good service and the guy who greeted me had a cheery chat, overall very happy with the service. Thank you! ?”

“not as well priced as asda sainsburys about 2 or 3p/litre higher but very convenient when going north out of chelmsford.since the ladies no longer work there the staff (owners?) are less welcoming and find it hard to smile but if that ignored a handy fuel stop that also sells costa coffee, and kinds of sweets, bread and his a chiller cabinet too.would have earned 5stars if staff were just a little more pleasant and learned to be welcoming to their customers - which is why they lost the majority of my custom, but certainly NOT an awful experience”

“I've never had business dealings with them but I asked for permission to park outside their premises for the night in my lorry and they where very friendly and polite, very nice people if this helps, I just want to say thank you to them for their understanding.”

“Huge thank you to bfs! Friday afternoon we called to place an order as we stupidly had run out of oil (tank gauge failure) suggested delivery by Wednesday. After explaining our issue the lady that took our call said she would speak to the transport manager to see if they could help. So surprised that at 9am Monday morning we had our delivery. GREAT service. lovely helpful driver, lovely lady that took our call and the delivery time was very much appreciated. We will definitely use again”

“If pay at pump is on and you need to pay inside all you have to do is go and ask the staff to turn it off and they do straight way. Very friendly place. Parking is tight but that's nothing the staff can help with. Always found it really pleasant.”

“Went in to get petrol yesterday and parked with the pumps on the offside of the car got out and left my drivers door open.Was asked to close the door before activating pumpWhen I later enquired as to why the lady said " it was to prevent fumes entering the car where my wife was " . Taking things a bit far maybe as kind of surrounded by fumes. Just an observation”

“These little supermarket/garages are quite handy. Obviously the petrol and groceries are more expensive than the big places, but, it's the convenience you're paying for when you don't have the time.”

“Really convenient place to fill up and shop if you're caught short. But be warned use of Shell App has caused me a massive headache here:\\n\\nApparently if you dont have good phone signal payments can fail, in which case you're just kept waiting, and they shout at you from the booth.\\nLast visit the pre-payment/authorisation system flagged fraud to my bank, and my card was stopped.”

“Very clean fuel station. The best part is toilets are equally clean hygienic standard. I rarely came across such clean toilets for such a small establishments. Great work. Top place.”

“Cheap petrol (99p per litre for petrol) plus I got a ham, cheese and salad sarnie, big bag of crisps n 750ml bottle of water for £3. I got a tad damp riding around Essex on my new motorbike, so this was a pleasant respite from showers. Whilst there, got some lunch on the go, and the rain stopped! Lovely sunshine, my brand new bike and partially drying out, gave me such a sense of happiness that I decided to review a petrol station!”

“Went to this petrol station today filled up and went to pay. Greeted by a rude and obnoxious woman behind the tills. I asked to pay some cash and some card and this women rolled her eyes at me and said "if you must!" I understand that there are covid problems right now but to be spoken to so disrespectfully by a women who couldn't even figure out how to wear a mask correctly is unreal and extremely rude. ( mask was over mouth not nose). Will go elsewhere in future!”

“I have used this petrol station for a number of years. I prefer the Esso fuel to supermarket fuel and it is always fairly priced here for A line fuel. The staff are friendly in the main.”

“Really good petrol station shop and cafe, great selection, amazing friendly staff and the cleanest public toilet I’ve ever used! I felt compelled to write this review because I have never ever used a cleaner public toilet, such a nice surprise”

“Well, contrary to the other reviews, the staff were fine. Found my parcel after I went to the wrong pick-up point. Only had two hot snacks but I only wanted one! Costa coffee. Take the receipt to the till!”

“Stopped by here today with jerrycan as car at home refused to start or ran rough on old fuel, had been a long time since I used the pumps but the lady & gentleman were very polite & helped me use it, last thing I wanted was to spill fuel everywhere or put my card in every reader. Very professional staff & happy to fill our cars here”

“A good option on Bank Holidays when all supermarkets are closed.A little more expensive than a normal m&s, but it's quite big and has the basics and more.It has gotten me out of some trouble ??.Attached to the BP gas station, the site is quite hidden but you can park without problem.The staff, how in all the s m & s, more than correct, although it is very crowded.”

“Decent mechanical car wash and jet wash bay. Powerful vacuum cleaner (£1.00 for 4 minutes) plus a compressor for tyre inflation. Petrol is a fair bit more expensive than supermarket forecourt prices.”
