First visit here as I don't often get to Chelmsford and stumbled across the shop. It brought back memories of Cooke's in Shepherd's Bush where I went often in the 1970's. Lovely big pies which had plenty of filling and were very tasty.

Established in 1862 in East London, F. Cooke remains a family run eel and pie house serving traditional pie and mash and jellied eels. Now, 5th generation Robert Cooke is bringing F. Cooke to Chelmsford for the very first time, the only real traditional pie and mash to operate in Chelmsford today.
