We stopped for a quick coffee and something to eat. I asked for a lemon muffin. The young man behind the counter said they didn't have any in stock. He looked like he wasn't really interested and was in autopilot. We had our coffee and as we were about to leave I noticed that they were fully stocked with muffins. Not the end of the world, but wasn't the most helpful service that day.

I went to this costa today for a meeting with a friend. Amy served us and was absolutely out of this world! Whilst sitting and drinking my coffee I noticed how Amy communicated with other customers and it was amazing to see how attentive, welcoming, and friendly she was.I will definitely be going back. 1 of the best Costas in Chelmsford.Thank you to the team for making it such a pleasant experience.

Really pleasant Costa café, the staff were friendly and very efficient with our food and drinks. The cafe was clean and tables well spaced out, chairs seemed quite new as well. I liked the fact they were playing Christmas carols instead of Christmas pop hits of the past. Car parking is camera controlled and has a three hour limit.

Used to really like coming here but twice in the last month we have walked away. First time we ordered 2 coffees and waited 40 minutes and no sign of them and when asked was told they hadn't started making them. Last weekend we tried again, sat down and waited and waited and waited. There were only three other people in there and another couple came in and they ordered and were served their food before we had even been asked what we would like. Went to the counter and it was as if we were invisible - 4 members of staff behind the counter , only 1 actually making coffees , the other three just stood doing nothing so once again we walked out and went to Belsteds!! A real shame as the food and drink when you get it is lovely!

Had a lovely chap named lucas serve me a black forest hot chocolate and it was absolutely divine and was a fantastic suggestion!I also had a very yummy sausage roll that certantly warmed me up on a cold day.With a luxurious salted caramel brownie on top that was very yummy!Service with a smile is always appreciated and I hope to visit again soon!

It is Sunday mid morning and here i see really bad service. Three teenagers without a clue on how to deal with an issue with the cash register and unable or unwilling to explain what was going on. After 15 minutes witnessing the scene, i gave up. No more Costa for me. Not with this lack of service and basic communication skills. Clearly managers here sleeping big time.

Very short staffed, not their fault but they were rushed off their feet with only 2 guys working. You could see they were both fed up. Management need to sort the situation

Knocked over a whole large black coffee today which is mildly embarrassing, but staff couldn't have been kinder and made me a new one, which they didn't have to do but was a really nice gesture.Thanks again,Adam
