I visited recently and ordered a Winter Spice Latte with coconut milk. Unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant. Upon approaching the till, there was no greeting, just a blunt "What do you want?" Despite there being no other customers, I had to wait 10 minutes for my drink.
When I finally received it, the milk was burnt, and the latte lacked both the coffee and syrup?it seemed like they forgot to add the coffee altogether! Additionally, two staff members were present, one sitting on the counter and the other behind the till on her phone, showing little interest in the customers.
To top it off, my drink was served in a takeaway cup instead of a dine-in cup and was slid across the counter without a word. There was no care or attention to service, leaving me quite disappointed with the overall experience.

It's loud, the staff mumble, one is chewing gum. The coffee is pretty bad, the milk is over boiled and isn't as Costa would normally have it. I would avoid this one like the plague.

First of all quick service. It?s important for me as I don?t like to wait too much. The ladies behind the till were very nice and friendly. The quality is great but that?s expected. And the atmosphere is the normal costa atmosphere not better or worse.

Lovely Costa on Riverside Chelmsford. Coffee good tea and cakes delicious. But what makes this one stand out is the staff so helpful and cheery make a great atmosphere.

The first clue was the poor attitude of the staff. It never got better from there on. The food was tasteless, my wife?s frappe was disgusting, and my coffee was decidedly average. I suspect the food could have been stale. Costa have gone right down in my opinion and we are seriously thinking twice about going to another Costa, as this has until now, been our reliable choice.
