Dana is understanding, kind, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend, especially the stop smoking clinic.

I was in Boots the pharmacy on the Sunday 13th July with an awful wasps sting. I went in to get some cream to treat it as it was getting worse and very sore and painful. The pharmacist Rizwan took one look and told me that I needed antibiotics. He was very professional and treated me straight away. I started taking the antibiotics which solved the problem and was much better within a few days.
Really appreciate all his help and will recommend him to all my friends.

Visit this place if you want to meet some of the rudest people in the country.

This review is for a employee Tamilly Hicks,I frequently shop at Boots, where I obtain my prescription medication, essential personal hygiene products, makeup, and preferred Korean skincare items. I am consistently satisfied with the quality of the products available. However, I have observed a mix of employee behaviors, with some exhibiting helpfulness while others display rudeness that is uncharacteristic of the service expected at Boots.
I am writing this review to commend an exceptional employee, Tamilly Hicks, for her outstanding customer service. She consistently demonstrates a helpful and friendly demeanor, which enhances the shopping experience for customers. I look forward to seeing her at the cashier, as she provides a stark contrast to some of the less courteous employees in the perfume department. Recognition of her efforts is well-deserved.

Grossly understaffed but no urgency displayed by the staff they have.

Every time I go to collect a prescription these days, no matter what time there is always a long queue. The last time I went it was 40 minutes. Why, because they only had 1 person serving and this is the case everytime now. When you eventually arrive at the counter, you see a Pharmacist and 2 other members of staff. On the last visit all they were doing were chatting, not work chat either and the poor server was swamped. At no point did any other member of staff behind the Pharmacy counter come and offer any help.

As per other posts, queing in Boots to collect a prescription is as much of a chore these days as getting a doctors appointment. Order on line they say, it's quicker, they say, more convenient, they say! We will text you when its ready, they say! (last month didn't get the text, after three weeks of waiting, went to the shop to find out what happened, apparently it was the system or the computer or someone else's fault that the text wasn't sent!).
But what they don't say is; when you go to pick up your meds, having ordered it online, you still have to queue behind all the other people who didn't order on line! So it's not quicker or more convenient. Today I queued for half an hour, when I left, there were thirteen more people in the queue behind me. Only ever one member of staff serving, if a customer has a query (after all, people are encouraged to speak to the pharmacist, rather than the GP), the assistant then disappears to consult someone else.
Why not have a quick pick up point, just for meds that are ready for collection? Have more staff serving?, or at least one to take over, whilst the other is dealing with a query? Every organisation says they care about about customer experience/satisfaction, but it's the simple things that make a difference, and they often get over looked.
..................
I was delighted to see that Boots responded to my previous review (above). However I was not surprised that it was the usual impersonal, non committal copy and paste job they use for every review that they receive. It really illustrates the company's real attitude to customer care, despite what they say in their reply!
I have managed to resolve the issue surrounding my original post. I have changed my designated pharmacy, and will be going elsewhere for my medication in the future.

Today I thought I would take a look in your boots store chelmer village to grab a few items, I approached a young lady who had blonde hair and her name was Elli. The vibe I got from her was like she couldn't be bothered and spoke quite rudely, She also didn't ask if I wanted any help. When I paid for the items she looked at me as if she was staring at me with no smile what so ever! I work in a shop and I most definitely wouldn't of given this vibe to a customer like she did. Customers service definitely needs to come up in this place like some of the other customers who have given a review already! I wouldn't want to be served by her again!

Rude staff and feels like your going to a gp surgery if you can get your medication from anywhere else it would be better for you.

Review of pharmacy only:
I have been using this store for years no matter what time of the week you attend you are always in a queue of at least 5-6x people to pickup your prescription and the staff work very slowly. Even when the queue is incredibly long its rare to ever get a second member of staff assisting on serving customers, you will see lots of staff behind the counter or stocking shelves and only one person manning the counter. On a recent visit it was worse then normal and i had to wait behind around 15x people for about 35mins to get served (See photo).
Staff do not answer the phones, it doesn?t matter how many times or when you ring it just gets ignored. If a mistake gets made your only choice is face to face at the store and a queue to speak to them.
When prescriptions are given back to the customer due to a shortfall of medication they forget to release the prescription correctly from the system causing a problem when you then try and get the medication at another pharmacy. This mistake by the staff cost me hours to resolve driving back & forth between pharmacies.
Even when clearly they have made a mistake you will never get a polite ?I apologise? or ?Sorry for the wait / inconvenience? from the staff, its like they have been trained to never admit any fault or have manners.
Due to the queues you feel forced to cut short any questions or issues you have due to the huge queue behind you and not upsetting other customers.
Staff don?t listen to you if any question arises in your pickup, they just ignore what you are saying as they carry on working, very rude.

Only one manned till in the whole of the store, which wasn't even manned by the way, express self service checkouts....it's a complete joke, won't be shopping here again!

Another horrific experience at this Boots with their pharmacy. A twenty minute queue to find they?re not filled my prescription and ?current wait time is half hour?.
Utterly appalling. They know they have a captive audience so they just don?t bother.

Urgently needs more staff. Came here to get something otc. Arrived to find a queue of about 30 people going to the back of the store waiting for prescriptions. Lady worrking rudely told me "I'm the only one working, you need to go to the back of the queue to buy anything otc." No way I'm taking that attitude or queuing 30 minutes plus. Got the item from a local pharmacy with no queue but cost slightly more, but my time and dignity is worth more.
