Big shout out to LORRAINE for helping me with PPI claim years ago and for her continual help whenever I needed it.Also a huge thankyou to Nicola,Julia and Tom for there wonderful reception they give me when I walk in to the bank and banter we have.The rest of the staff who work there also are all so pleasant and helpful.Enoy going to the bank as they all make me so welcome.Many thanks and look forward to visiting branch in the near future.

Yesterday I went in to the Chelmsford branch to open a child savings account for my baby. I spoke with an adviser called Tim and he was so helpful, taking the time to talk me through my different option, which I really appreciated.
And there was no wait to be seen - bonus!

Came here especially to pay cheque into my account on a Saturday. I was told that there is no counter service on a Saturday. that is completely unacceptable and I will be taking my banking elsewhere from now on.

Just waisted more than 2hrs of my day trying to sort an issue with my Barclays account.
After closing so many local branches you'd think they would at least open this branch from 9am - 5pm but no, opening hours are limited. Service in the branch is limited and so is there customer service.
After travelling to the branch they just refer you to online, telephone or live chat.
Live chat- Is Not Live as you are left waiting.
Telephone- You spend forever waiting then end up speaking to someone that doesn't understand you. Or you don't understand them.
Clearly Barclays business model is to make massive profits from British customers. But they don't provide customer service fit for British customers.
You should reinvest into local customer service for British crustomers Barclays.
If not, customers should do what I'm planning and take my custom somewhere better.
Your business model does not work for customers Barclays it's AWFUL

having been scammed last year I travelled from Maldon to my nearest open branch Chelmsford to transfer a large sum into my premium bond account. was told there would be a charge of £25 for this service. feels like I'm being scammed all over again. @Julie, a little. more empathy and a less smug look when you say "we will. charge you for this" would go a long way. Just because you keep repeating "it's on the app" doesn't make it OK.

Visited to sort out my ISA as not confident in doing it myself. Someone helped me through it on my app and with plenty of patience as I wanted to learn for next time. A busy branch but everybody so friendly and helpful, was seen to quickly.

Went to sort out my ISAs and while it is clearly a very busy branch it was extremely well organised. I was guided where to sit and wait and how long I'd wait for support and then all sorted through my app with support of an advisor. Really quick and easy and they showed me how to do it rather than do it for me.
