Good atmosphere and good band.
Tent lay out wasnt the best as couldnt walk through during the day so uad to walk around in the rain.
But the worst bit was being told that when buying the beer tokens what you dont use could be exchanged back, but when you try to be told they woupdnt have said that and you cant get any money back.

Great atmosphere once you've settled in. It's a cool pub with a good selection of food and drinks and interesting decorations and games all over the place.

Lovely old pub, lots of nooks and crannies befitting a Tudor building. Good pub food choice and several real ales and ciders stacked up in barrels.
Couple of things to be aware. Car park isn't that large so you will struggle at peak times. Also because of the various floor levels and steps, it's not very accessible to those whose mobility is limited.

We stopped at The Bell for dinner on a long drive, and were so impressed with it that I had to write a review. It's not just a great old pub with oak beams and good food, it's clearly a community hub as well, with live music and a zero-waste refill station, among other things. The staff were all excellent and seemed to enjoy working there. They were openly welcoming of the dog we had with us, offering him treats and water. Their menu and drinks selection is oriented to the local and the environmentally responsible. I had the best chicken soup of my life, by a wide margin. I like chicken soup, but had no idea it could be this good. I would award it a Michelin star if I could. Seriously, do not miss out on the chicken soup if it's on when you go.

What a great little place

An OK village pub. Friendly locals, not so friendly management, standard pub grub menu, limited range of drinks available, dogs welcome. Friday night music can be loud and lively, but otherwise a quiet place for a chat and a basic beer. Oh, nice garden in the summer.
