I just bought some gloves for my 2 children in the canvey knightswick store, and was just abused by the manager across the store..we were in the town for the lights switch on, as i got to the till the manager serving me said ? i was going to say, next time no food in the store? my daughter was holding a toffee apple, i replied ?oh yes ok?Paid for my items and as we walked off i turned around to my children, (one of which has additional needs and was very upset about the incident)and the manager began being abusive across the store, infront of my 2 young daughters, customers and other members of staff, i didnt say a word to her and she shouted across ?have you got a problem?? I said no why? She continued to say that there is a sign on the door about no food, i said i totally respect that..( we have come in and i to get gloves and i hadnt looked at the sign or thought about the apple.. )but her rudeness was absolutely shocking, she said ? you need to get your children to have some respect and read the sign and learn some manners, my children cant read and it certainly isnt there fault, so to speak to me and about them in such an aggressive way is absolutely unacceptable, she is a manager with no people skills, should not be serving people with such a terrible attitude and to start shouting across a shop at a customer. I have taken the matter further.

Actually quite funny chased out shop by the manger/tyrant of the store today telling me in barred , ok no problem and left , then continued to follow me out of the store into our shopping center to shout at me not to post comments about her in the review section of peacocks on google ? , its a free country lady , if ya wasnt such a knob people wouldnt write bad reviews, actually quite sad for the young staff who work there who served me last week for my sunglasses ? ? thankyou to those staff who are quite polite , id also understand her power trip if she was manager at harrods lol but your not your a step up from poundland get over yaself

It's not the manager fault, but the returns policy is fascist and has caused me to evaluate that Peacocks will no longer exist, in the future. Bad customer service equals a ripple effect and drips down the grape vine. Trading standards are investigating.

Well what can i say other than what a disgrace of a manager at this store named kerry ! , actually feel sorry fo the younger staff who have to work under this tyrant absolutely disgusting behaviour of a manager of a high street chain , HO and customer service both advsied of the issuses with staff , someone should tell her the lip filler isnt helping also

Worst ever experience in a shop. Tried to return an item. the manager who is the rudest manager I've ever come across and the member of staff accused me of arguing when I only asked a question. I left the shop so upset for only stating that i had never been asked for other id when sending an item back. I never argued and was left embarrassed and upset. This also upset my 5 year old son who witnessed the manager shouting at me I think the store needs training in customer service.

Awful experience here. Went to return a dress which has come apart at a seam (clearly one part has not been overlocked properly) attempted to exchange for another but that one didn?t look very secure and asked for a refund instead. Awfully rude manager (With glasses) refused as she is assuming it has been stepped on, firstly I don?t know how anyone would step on a seam that high up secondly, if it had been stepped on I can assure you it would look a lot worse than that. Asked for a gift voucher instead but apparently can?t do that either. Manager was very rude and sarcastic, rest of the team were quite helpful though. I should not be buying something and it falls apart after the second time wearing it and If this does happen (because it can when making high quantities of items) I should be entitled to get my money back or a gift voucher at least and not feel pressured into buying the same item which had a problem.

Accosted by Store Manageress for nor wearing a mask!..i said I was exempt she said I wasnt?.. Extremely rude lady. I walked out. Shame for her as I was going to spend a lot of money in there for Xmas, will never go back or recommend to anyone!

Very rude MANAGER won't be returning to Canvey Island Peacocks as she is to disrespectful to everybody in the shop and i would rather go somewhere else where you don't get shouted at for wanting to return something that doesn't fit when the tags are on and you have the receipt.

I?d like to make a formal very serious complaint about the manageress of the Canvey store. Never before have I ever been screamed at like this!I visited the Peacocks store at approximately 1.40pm to make two returns, one purchased previously in store and one online which I have never done before. The sale assistant who initially served me couldn?t have been more helpful but was unsure how to do an online return. The Manageress came over and was not only rude to me, but her staff. She refused to accept the online return with the printed return, as I hadn?t realised I needed the original order form. It was annoying but fait enough, however her mannerism was extremely rude and she totally ignored me and told her assistant to delete the return.I left the store and as I was walking to the car, I text my daughter and asked her to photograph the form and send it to me. This she did and so I walked back into the store and explained my daughter had sent me a photo of the order form and that the price and order number which they needed, were clearly visible. The sales assistant explained she was meant to be leaving at 2pm but that the Manageress was upstairs and asked me to wait.After waiting a few minutes, with no sign of the manageress, the sales assistant asked to look at the form on my phone and said all the necessary information was there and said she?d have a go at doing the return. She took all my details and the refund was up on the card reader. Suddenly the Manageress appeared and waved me away and blankly said ?No!? Without even so much as looking at me, she spoke to the lady and said I?d have to go home and get the paperwork!I work in retail myself and this is NOT the way to speak to customers. I tried to explain that the info requested was on my phone but she literally waved me away again and totally dismissed me.So I left, drove home and returned with the piece of paper. By this time, the original sales assistant had left for the day and so I was served by this ?Manageress?. The time was 2.05pm. There was no apology or explanation, she basically barked questions at me with no smile, please or thank you. As I left, I remarked it was a shame that high street stores are closing and it?s down to bad customer services by people like her, I said she clearly wasn?t happy about working New Years Day and she shouted ?No, I?m not, thanks to customers like you! ? with a sarcastic smile on her face.So I walked back in and politely asked for her name as I work in retail myself and I would be putting in a formal complaint, she shouted over the counter no that I was not having her name, I asked again and explained she wasn?t wearing any form of ID or name badge and I?d like her name. She shouted ?this is MY shop and I can do what I like!? ?If you work in retail like you say you do, you?d know I don?t need to wear one!? I?m sorry but I do work in retail and she should be wearing one. Although with her attitude I?m not surprised she chooses not to identify herself.So I then proceeded to take my phone out and I took her photo so I had a description to send to head office. At this point, she literally screamed at me at the top of her voice to delete that photo and as I was walking out the shop she came running round from behind the counter and got right up in my face screaming and demanding I delete the photo and screaming for security! I honestly thought she was going to assault me! The gentleman who works as a security guard in Knightswick came over and I tried to explain but she was screaming so much and by this time people were stopping so I thought it better to walk away. As I turned around she was still stood there screaming happy new year in a sarcastic voice. I am lost for words. This is not a good representation of Peacocks. I have shopped here for many years but will never set foot in this store again. I?ve just looked online and this is not the first complaint about this woman. It?s disgusting and disappointing that this bully even works dealing with the generalpublic.

I am absolutely disgusted with the attitude of the manager in peacocks I tried to take an item my mum had bought back because she was so rude to my mum that I decided to take it back again , she had an attitude told me I couldn?t bring it back treated and spoke to me like a child the manager has no people skills and is very rude she should not be working in customer serious her attitude is disgusting I think the other girls are lovely and I spend a lot in there but as of today I will not be spending any money in this store as the manger was so rude the me i am disgusted at ye lack of customer service she provided totally disgusting will never return to this store again !!!

Very rude manageress. Not the first time shes been rude to me. Harasses customers and is very rude in front of others in store. No people skills. Talks to you like a child. The women is a bully.I ,my friends and family will not be shopping in the canvey store again.

I find this clothes shop to cramped as clothing rails to close together but staff are very friendly and helpful.
