Surprised at how busy pub was for a Thursday evening. Great atmosphere, very chilled but efficient and friendly service. Food was perfect...Good pub hearty pub food that was yummy.

Decided last minute to try The Shepherd and ? for Saturday lunch.
The pub is a favourite place for biker's to meet up and compare bikes, although we weren't aware of this before visiting.
There was about 50 biker's there when we arrived, all of them were polite and friendly, so don't let them put you off visiting here.
We had lunch in the garden, which is pleasant to sit in, I had calfs liver ?, and she who must be obeyed had minted lamb pudding. Both meals were lovely.
Service was excellent ?

My wife and I went for the Sunday roast, I had the pork, and my wife had the roast beef. Both were really nice, with a nice yorkshire pudding served on the side.
There was a very good selection of beers on offer, from real Ales to lagers, and prices were reasonable.
I would certainly recommend this place for food as it's clean, tidy, good service, and reasonably priced. What's not to like!!
