Amazing time watching the Lions rugby which pretty much nowhere worse was showing. Especially the guy behind bar who wal also the waiter. Deserves a pay rise. Thanks to all ??

Could be soooo much better if they'd hire more staff!! Lovely inside since the refurb, but.. this place is notoriously difficult to get served. We enjoy having a beer, and occasional meal, here, (live right around the corner) but we've had to leave on multiple (weekend) occasions as there's been a queue of people waiting to get served, with just one person working the bar! And if a couple of those people are holding menu's, forget about it!
You could perhaps understand if it happened on the odd occasion, but this is not the case (I dare the management to blame holidays/illnesses!)
Really hoped it would get better, post facelift. But sadly no.

Lovely pub inside and with nice garden area. However, when we went on Saturday night it was very grubby everywhere and crying out for a good clean. All the tables were dirty especially in the conservatory area. The floor looked like it hadn?t been hoovered or cleaned in a long time. The outside tables are in need of a good varnish and covered in sticky drinks. I know they have been very busy and seem very short staffed but the outside area could be amazing with just some general cleaning . And the service is very slow with lots of random queues everywhere so ur unsure where to stand when trying to get a drink. Food was acceptable but not great . It?s a lovely pub with lovely garden but just needs a good clean everywhere .
