Beware. If you pick up a basket from the entrance to do your shopping, the till staff expect you to return it to the entrance as they are too busy talking to other staff members to do their own job. Crazy.

Waste of space! In store order experience was good. Then no delivery was made, but apparently I signed for it (as seen by a text message). Then waited a second day, no delivery. Then asked for 3rd attempt, expecting a priority to have it delivered first thing, as I am less than a mile from store. Had store manager on phone and rightly now, and he said he could do nothing. So that was a useless call for assistance. None! Still waiting for delivery.
UPDATE TO ABOVE
Credit where credit is due. Recognising my upset, frustration and disappointment have compensated me. I eventually got my goods having found it delivered to the wrong address. This post started a 1 star, moves to a 3 star for the compensation, but back to the 2 star rating as I had to move the goods by hand with multiple trips.

There is no staff care at Wickes in Brentwood. I bought a lawn mower but I couldn't carry the box to the car due to a bad back. The staff clearly didn't want to help me and even after waiting ages, tried to leave the box sticking out of the boot so it wouldn't close. I had to ask him to lay it flat.

Customer service does not exist, the kitchen designer was more interested in my personal matters than the kitchen itself. He eventually gave up when I asked lot of questions and jotted down an unacceptable quote, I am going with wren who were exceptional and I had kitchen redesign done multiple times with no issues.
They really need customer service if they want to do any business or remain a lower quality.

This is a diy store local to the Brentwood area, not our local area. We just used it as a meet location for oeople coming from different location, and it's close to j28 on rhe M25 .
