this guy, all he does is moan about buskers and chat up women, to the point you get ignored. and the opening times aren?t reliable either.

Timpsons has always been a valuable resource to the people of Brentwood.
It is an integral part and helps so many people in so many ways. I have known and used Timpsons for must be 10 years and remember a lot of the old staff too.
I have always had excellent service from Chris who has changed batteries for both myself and my husband, changed a strap, repaired our shoes and engraved something for us as a present. He is always helpful and knowledgeable and extremely proud of his work and profession. He is a true credit not just to the store but to the Town. Keep up the great work ?

I have been using timpsons for years, the young man Chris, couldn't be more helpful, polite and very cheerful . I would definitely recommend a visit, but do remember, Chris is a loan worker, so just remember, he may need a comfort break, at some point.

Chris at Timpsons is the most lovely guy that helped me resole my shoes. Very chatty and friendly which is rare these days with people miserable at their jobs in the high street. Defiantly will be coming back.

He closes the shop just for his lunch break which everyone is entitled to and people are complaining as it?s not their convenience. We are all human.

1* is being generous. Horrendous customer service. Constantly shut early/during the middle of the day (not the times on their website). Only wanted to collect my PAID FOR items and the man just stood behind the counter staring at me instead of opening the door before their close time.

Been changing my car keys batteries here for a while, always paid 5£ the older gentleman served me each time. Last change was this September. Just went in today and the younger fella charged me 20£. I was shocked and wanted to refuse the service, but my husband didn't want an argument paid and we've left. We feel robbed and definitely won't return. Just a friendly advice you won't get rich charging three times the cost. It's a quick quid now, but it won't bring you more in the long run.

I was locked out of my house on Tuesday 17th evening. I went to Timpson on Brentwood High Street and the lad there gave me a leaflet to contact Timpson Locksmiths. When I called the number on the leaflet I was told that they will locate an engineer and call me back within 30 - 45 minutes. No one called back and I was still locked out of my house. As they did not bother to call me back, I called them and there were numerous excuses mumbled by the same guy whom I spoke to earlier - they were unable to contact the engineer, maybe the engineer had taken the day off, etc. etc If you can't do the job you should have told me straightaway you can't do it and to find someone else. Extremely poor service considering it was after 5 pm and I was still locked out (and they never bothered to call me back to inform me they can't do the job). I thought Timpson was a reputable company. I have changed my mind now according to the way I was treated. I contacted another locksmith who was very professional and did the job perfectly.
