After being a regular for a very long time I was so disappointed in the service I received today from one of the girls in the cafe. I tried to make a deliveroo order so I called to find out when they will be accepting orders, then when I tried to make an order it said one of the items was out of stock I called to confirm the girl on the phone told me it?s not out of stock must be a mistake on deliveroo and to add another item and call back and she will tell the chef to change it which I did. The girl then called me 5 mins after I placed my order to say it is actually out of stock and she got it wrong which was fine I asked for it to substituted with something else. After this my order was cancelled on deliveroo so I called to ask if it?s been cancelled she said no it?s still going through, I checked deliveroo again and it appeared to be cancelled I was going out soon so wanted to confirm whether I need to order again. When I called again I heard her complaining saying ?I can?t do this again? in reference to speaking to me which I found SO rude, she then CONFIRMED it was still going through and they were making it she sounded very annoyed even though this was her mistake in the first place.
She reassured me that it was going through and if there?s was any problems with deliveroo she would call me but I will be receiving my order. Luckily I didn?t listen to her and didn?t feel comfortable to make another order after how I was treated.
My order never arrived and I was never called to sort this out. Awful service and so disappointing after being a regular for such a long time.

went for breakfast , slow service , food nowhere as good as it used to be, poached eggs hard , scrambled eggs they charge as two items but clearly only one came up on the plate in one lump. Toast not included with meal, so when we got the bill we were staggered at the price nearly £60 for two breakfast and two glasses of orange juice, never again and I will warn my friends it is nothing like it used to be , and not worth the money.

The manager/owner is rude and the over charge for items that you asked to be replaced.
My daughters had small omelette but they didn?t want chips and asked them to replace for ham. They still charge £2 a tiny piece of ham and didn?t take into account that they didn?t have chips.
I don?t think she is friendly to people with kids.
Miracle Cafe is much better and the food and stuff is better than Cafe 89.
I used to love going to Cafe 89 but we aren?t going back.
Shame that they don?t see that they have other competitors and they should threat customers well and respect!
Do not go there if you have kids.

Lovely lunch, great service, perfect for the family, home cooked, adjusted for nut allergies. Fab coffee. Just what we wanted for a bank holiday Monday.

I used to go to this place a lot, but feel like the service has got so poor when the manager isn?t there. When she is, it?s an entirely different experience and I can?t fault her. She?s friendly and clearly good at what she does. Unfortunately on the several occasions I?ve been without her there, service is poor at best. I?ve been debating whether to even review this, but another poor service today and I?m fed up. We ordered to have a delivery today due to us having an 8-day old baby and it being my birthday - our drinks arrived. The food did not. We phoned the restaurant to speak to a guy who was so blasé and unhelpful- he said it?s not their problem, another uber driver took our order, returned it back to them cold and we would have to pay again as it?s not their problem but Ubers. I find this service pathetic. It is surely also the responsibility of the business to ensure the correct delivery is being taken. He offered no solution and was about as useful as a chocolate teapot. When I phoned to ask to speak to the manager, I found his tone and manner just so apathetic. I?ll not be bothering to go here again, today was the final straw.

Unfortunately not great. Jacket potatoe was, well, incinerated. The topping was okay. But simply not worth the money. Disappointing.

I love the decor in this place. It's very reasonably priced and the options for breakfast are plenty. The staff are very friendly too.

This is a lovely friendly clean cafe. The food is very good and we have just ordered breakfast again through deliveroo.
