To put it bluntly I would recommend builders and walk in customers go elsewhere. Poor service , materials always have some minor damage on them, expensive compared to other merchants, yard is a mess and the staff uninterested in giving you a good service. Let's be blunt about this place..what do you want? Give us your money , find the yardman who's not really interested, get your materials , scuffed chipped or weather damaged then get out of our yard !Next ? hurry up I want to go on my break. That's how this branch is .

Used Buildbase Hutton to order two new doors for my property. Had a few issues with the doors (nothing to do with Buildbase), but they were on hand to help and were very helpful collecting the first set of doors and delivering the replacement ones. Both Darren and Paul were very helpful, would certainly have no hesitation in using them again.

Phoned up Brentwood Buildbase the other day to ask If I could have a delivery next week. Didnâ??t mind what day as I needed the materials for the following weekend but a girl answered with a dreadful attitude telling me no because I was too far away and that the Basildon branch was closer to me so phone them. If I knew this then of course I would of phoned the Basildon branch but to be spoken to the way I was, was like Iâ??d committed a crime. Also I did explain to her that I popped in last week with my sister and that the lovely guys in the yard were very helpful in helping us choose the right materials we needed for the job but it was like she didnâ??t care and certainly didnâ??t want to help. Think Buildbase Brentwood need to teach their staff who answer the phones a thing or two about customer service. Very disappointed in the way I was treated and to be honest it put me off phoning the Basildon Branch in case I was treated in the same way.

Went into this branch to be served by a guy who thought he was Mr cool. His attitude was all wrong and he was not helpful at all, in fact I found him to be quite rude. The minute he see me at the counter, I could tell by his face that he didnâ??t want to serve me. Would of asked to be served by someone else but unfortunately the other 2 guys and a young girl was on the phone at the time. Will never shop here again. Wish I listened to what other builders told me about this branch but I thought I would give it the benefit of the doubt considering itâ??s on my doorstep but not again.

Came in on Friday 29th June to get some prices on materials for a 2 storey extension Iâ??m having on my house. I was very disappointed to be waiting over 10 minutes at the counter to be acknowledged when there was a guy and woman in the office flirting with each other. The woman knew I was there because she looked at me but neither one came to serve me. I ended up walking out and going to PGR where they was very polite, helpful and got served straight away. Buildbase will never get my business again.
