To be honest, this is a glowing review I didn't think I'd be writing, given the slightly cheesy "too good to be true" national TV advertising?Sadly, we had to part with our trusty 208 Diesel which we?d had from new (a lease car which we then bought) due to buying a new car. It was well loved and, with the exception of a couple of minor hiccoughs during its 122000+ miles, it was always reliable. The offer from WBAC, whilst not exceptional, was actually more than we thought we?d get in the limited time we had available to find a buyer, so we decided to go ahead.The offices in Braintree aren?t particularly prepossessing ? just a rather spartan office above a storage company at the far end of an industrial estate, so initial impressions weren?t overwhelming. However, Patrick was incredibly friendly, apologised for running a bit late due to a previous customer missing their appointment, and sat us down to check the car?s details. Once he was happy that it wasn?t a ringer, he checked the car itself; the mileage, that it ran ok and the overall condition. He found a few scuffs on the bumper and alloys ? all of which were perfectly fair comment - and then came back to the office to revise the offer. We did brace ourselves, but the new offer was a couple of hundred less, not the ?sorry, it?s now half? we?d expected.We accepted the offer, Patrick walked us through the rest of the admin process, completed the paperwork, and then promised the money would be our account in 4 days (you can have it quicker for a fee).And it was.Patrick even put up with my slightly teary and needlessly anthropomorphic description of the car as being ?a good boy? and promised he?d look after him. I know. Don?t judge me.Anyway, bottom line, thoroughly recommended from beginning to end. We'd use them again in a heartbeat.It?s not where I thought we?d be. But it is where we are.
