It?s disappointing that half the centre is closed, with the quadrant following shortly. Burtons was closed years ago and what?s taken its place? Rents too hight and not enough imagination. Unfortunately I think the whole place will be pulled down, along with the Quadrant and carpark. To be replaced with, you guessed it - houses

The lady who worked in the shop yesterday (Black Friday) was so unbelievably helpful and kind. She explained the deals going on, she saw my hands were full of presents and rushed off to get me a basket. She even noticed my hood was loose on my coat and popped it back on for me. Honestly, staff like this should be praised as she took the stress out of shopping. I wish she could have come and helped me in other shops with the rest of my shopping! Got some really good deals and was a very pleasant experience.

Massive fan of the works. Love the mix of art supplies, books and games. The staff always seem happy and friendly at work and are quick to help you if your in need of a hand. First time being in this store up Braintree but just like my local store they are fantastic energetic lot that seem to enjoy their work environment which means it makes a great place to shop and easy to leave with more then you meant to buy.

I love the works but not the one just across the road from me it?s to small, but even though the one in Braintree town is not that big but it sells a lot more more choices makes me a happy customer. Merry Christmas to all the staff ??

I visited a few shops today. All had good social distancing measures in place.
However when I visited b&m it was totally different. It made a mockery out of the rest of George yard.
Terrible experience at the Braintree b&m store today. None of it made any sense. One doorway open for both entrance and exit. The other door closed off (apparently not enough staff to cover both doors).
Inside the store the directional arrows on the floor were ignored by staff and customers alike.
I managed to tell my thoughts to a few members of staff only to be told ?we?re staff, it doesn?t apply to us?.
So basically if you want to catch Covid-19, pop along to the Braintree store. No social distancing, no organisation or interest from the staff. Tomorrow is meant to be face coverings day. B&M may as well just close the shop for the day.
If I was responsible for managing George yard, I?d be worried. The threat of a new spike could easily be pinpointed back to b&m.
