I recently started shopping at charity shops to give back to the community and honestly just help out in any way that I can. I went into this charity shop today and found a few items I was interested in a cooking kit and a sewing kit. While I was browsing I noticed that I can constantly being followed but I didn?t pay much attention to it until it became more apparent, I got irritated and left the things I had in a shelf and then a couple seconds later a worker came up behind me, raised his voice and told me to make sure I was buying something or return it to where I ?took? it from in the rudest way possible. I took of my headphones and asked if I was the one being spoken to and he literally said it again with absolutely no shame. This is unacceptable and no one should be treated this way specially in a charity shop I don?t know if they assumed I was shoplifting but for god sake I had no more than £4 worth of items on me. After this I simply left, there is no way I?m going to support or give any of my time or energy to someone treating customers like this. This isn?t to punish the business or the kind people working there that are always helpful (the women) but to hold the 2 male staff/volunteers accountable . If you like supporting and donating to charity pls still do but speak up when being treated with no respect.

My favorite charity shop in Braintree, love coming in here. So much to look through and choose from and all great prices, especially kids books for 10p!

I put in an application for a voluntary role here and was called up for an informal chat at a time that wasn't suitable for me (I think in the application it asked for days that suit you, which I said were afternoons and evenings) so I emailed about rearranging it to an afternoon and onwards call. They never replied, and I still don't know what I'm supposed to have done wrong. It's a shame as I really thought the role offered sounded interesting ????

This charity shop is becoming very expensive. When it comes to second had items. Yes some items are the so called brand names. But that not the point. This is why you have so much stock in the shop. But otherwise very tidy store and friendly staff.

Brilliant shop, cheap prices including a £1 area and an everything under £3 area and very friendly man behind the till wearing the florescent green hat.

This has always been good for a bargain and sometimes offers furniture too. It's not one of these new posh second hand stores, but rather a good old-fashioned joint where you can still get real value for money. It's near Barclays bank, so there's no excuse not to withdraw some cash and get spending!
