I love visiting Toast in Braintree because I love the coffee and choice of snack food. Though it seems like a small establishment there is plenty of tables and chairs. Seating outside, downstairs and of course as you enter the cafe. The staff are friendly, helpful, kind and always seem to work well together. As we have a dog it is great to visit with our pet - and to enjoy meeting other people.
However, as the toilets are downstairs I understand anyone with a disability that has an impact on their walking would not be able to go down the stairs as they are both narrow and steep.
The prices are mostly akin to other local establishments. The ethics of the company is hugely eco friendly and that has 100% of my vote.
My only gripe is that I would like to see the tables outside wiped each time the tables are cleared. I do not see that happening after the tables have been cleared.

I like my coffee and toast. It's good service and quick but tables and floors always dirty. I don't mind as I never stay just takeaway only.

Service was a bit slow but I think it was more due to lack of staff. The young lady who brought my drink to me, did apologise for the delay. Not blaming the staff for the lack of help. Over all good experience.

Toast is somewhere special that I go to have a latte and a cheese and caramelised red onion toastie

Toast is a breakfast and lunch haven where all things toastie shine! I had the Sticky Farmhouse, a perfect mix of sweet and savory for a Sunday morning. My friends enjoyed the Continental and Full English toasties.
And let's not forget the coffee. At Toast, they?ve mastered the art of brewing without burning. Each cup was smooth, rich, and absolutely divine.
If you haven?t been to Toast yet, you?re missing out! ??

I always loved coming to Toast for my favourite tuna melt with the option of sourdough bread. However, they have recently implemented some changes I was told there is no option of sourdough bread anymore as the toasties are now pre-made offsite to reduce waiting times. I wouldn't say that actually worked as the wait time was about the same as when toasties were made on site. The portions also seem smaller than before. On top of this, the tuna melt is no longer on the menu either... very disappointed as this was my favourite.

Atmosphere is nice, as are the staff, coffee is fine(americano). Some problems though which are the pre-made toasties which I can't have as they all have butter in them which I dislike but I have also just found out the app doesn't work(I had some prepaid money on there which i have presumably lost), I still receive emails from toast yet was not informed of the app stopping. Basic customer care and consideration could be a lot better.

Previously TOAST would have been a 5 star review but they have made some changes that now mean I won?t be revisiting unless change happens for the better again. It was about visiting a local toastie and coffee place that is known for its toasties and toasties were great. It appears that TOAST have now decided to make more money and make more cuts by introducing pre-made toasties and trialing it broadly across Braintree branch. There?s no option for sourdough for standard toasties on the menu. You can?t ask for more or less pesto or marmite for example. The toasties served to us which were on white bread, were also smaller at the same price. The explanation was to do with waiting times being too long when making in store. Having watched the process previously in multiple branches, in my humble opinion the long wait times were due to TOAST being available on Deliveroo and the like, not enough machines, and due to a poor process in store between staff when switching between making toasties, serving, cleaning and making coffee. They?ve also got rid of the app and gone for a cheaper website option which isn't as easy, especially where places lack signal and you have to log into Wi-Fi before then scanning a code. The app recorded rewards and stamps when it was offline. So disappointed, thought we?d finally got a local coffee and food place that didn?t have the same values as Costa.

Love TOAST ??. I have been getting my daily dose of caffeine from the Braintree branch since it opened. Love the staff members, love the atmosphere and absolutely love the coffee and toasties (Chicken & Mushroom?)The recent changes on the menu only help to get that TOAST into my belly faster ?.Long live the TOAST ??????????
