Had my vehicle mot?d & they failed it on emissions, had an independent garage dpf clean & repair leak only to get attitude from the tester on retest saying your lucky it passed & I should take it too a proper garage in future. ? Myself & the garage owner are very angry & will not be using kwikfit again & do not recommend them too anyone

Staff are so helpful and always really polite and keen to help. Have visited several times needing an urgent issue fixed eg. tyre puncture, and they have squeezed me in every time. Thanks so much.

Rip off. Avoid like the plague. Took my car in for MOT, went out of their way to find the tiniest cuts to my tires. Then with no explanation, said if I didn?t buy 4 new tires from them they?d fail the car. When I queried the MOT technician made up some excuse about having a special tool to assess the tires (they forget there are cameras both in the garage and on the car and they never used a tool once). Got initial price of £1,400 from them, then they offered a ?manager special? of £1,100. Then when I compared the price online (which was £800) they offered a final price of £900. Just felt conned - the same happened to 3 other people whilst I was in there. It became a running joke. Took 2.5hrs to do an MOT and fit new tires. Rude, obnoxious service, clearly on commission to upsell every car with fictitious faults. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Amazing service, I honestly can?t thank this team enough. After being completely ripped off by Halfords on a failed MOT, a friend recommended I come here for a second opinion. They checked my car the same day and booked me in later that week for the repairs. Halfords quoted me nearly £800, but these guys did everything, including another MOT, for almost half the price. The service was brilliant, and I?ll definitely be bringing my car here for any future issues. Thank you!

James at the Braintree centre has been fantastic. I really appreciate his time and the effort he went to in fixing my car after a different mechanic made a mess of it. 100% would recommend kwickfit Braintree.

The upselling is quite oppressive. As a customer who has average knowledge of cars, we are expected to trust the mechanic/technician that is working on the car but I have never been to Kwik Fit garage and not been called to have something extra done on my car that costs a fortune. It is unethical and clearly a sales strategy from the top - it is off putting and ultimately means I won't use the company again with the exception of free brake pads which I am now entitled to.

Had a 12 noon appointment for a wheel bearing replacement . Asked at desk at 12 noon how long it would be to be told 90 minutes to 2 hours. Went back 90 minutes later to be told that they hadn?t started the repair as they were very busy. Clearly there is no point in their appointment system. The Kwik Fit employee gave me back my keys after I told him that I was not prepared to wait any longer and reiterated that they were very busy, he did however fail to make any kind of apology for my wasted time. Booked the car in with a local garage whose quote is £80 cheaper; so two lessons have been learned. I would advise that you avoid this company unless you have a lot of time on your hands and a lot of money to waste.
