The staff were absolutely amazing. I was helped directly by Georgia who has to be the sweetest person on the planet. For the very first time I felt like I?d had a proper eye test. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff on duty today treated me like a real person and from now on I?m 100% a Boots customer.
Update - next visit not so good. Doubt I will return. Thought it was the very best but this wasn?t the case.

I was due for an eye test. Boots sent me an email confirming this and offering to allow me to schedule the test online. A slot was available the following day, so I clicked on it. The app worked well and, within a few minutes, I was booked for an eye test. When I attended the eye test, I was a little early. The staff pre-screened me and I was shown into the test itself bang on time. Test completed, I found I needed new reading glasses to replace the ones I'd had (from Boots) from years ago. As I'm also on the Boots contact lens scheme, I was entitled to 50% off the whole bill for the new frames and lenses I selected. I'm looking forward to getting the new glasses. Overall, a great experience and I can definitely recommend Boots for both the service and the products they supply.

Horrible experience, now feeling like I don't want to return to collect my glasses. Two ladies working were so unwelcoming, kept getting all my details wrong , made to feel like I'd done something wrong. Optometrist turned up late and obviously did not want to be at work, made me feel uncomfortable and aquard, if both sets of letters looked the same that's not my fault, snapping at me that they are different made me feel incredibly anxious and felt my test wasn't very well done. Like I was rushed , the experience was very uncomfortable. Will be going to a different place next time, and wish I hadn't gone ahead with glasses there now as dreading returning

I cannot express how brilliant my experience was with the lovely ladies here today! From the moment I walked through the door they were polite. Kind. Explained everything (I hadn't been to the opticians in 6/7 years) talked me through everything. Everything I said was listened to! On top of that I saved a lot of money! They stayed very professional and polite when a very rude customer came in. Honestly you won't find a better opticians! Thank you ladies!

Warm welcome, positive assistance, excellent explanation of procedures, fabulous Friendly optician. The ladies out the front were exceptionally knowledgeable, helpful and delightful to be assisted by. I'm very difficult to please with glasses styles, there was no rushing and full assistance, guidance and exceptional patients shown. I must have tried 30+ pairs and nothing was too much trouble for them. Overall a great experience and service. The team are an absolute credit to the company.

I had to wait 15/20 mins for the optometrist to come back off his lunch to when my appointment was scheduled. I'm nearly 40 and I've only ever used boots opticians but the service has gone rapidly down hill and the staff turn around is phenomenal. I see someone different every time I make an appointment. I tried to make my son an appointment at the weekend, I walked into the shop and waited 10 mins and not a single staff member approached me to help so I just left. In the past, I've also tried calling during the day, but sometimes no one answers.

Peter was very helpful in and giving me a different opinion on different frames to suit my face . He asked me each question and explained in full all options on what sort of lens cost and what they did . I took my husband with me and he got him a chair and included him in the conversation. He asked at the end if I was happy with all the details. Very pleasant and comfortable appointment.
