I took my son for an eye test as he needed another pair of glasses. This was the first time he visited this shop and was therefore nervous.I'm glad to say he had a great experience.Staff we're knowledgeable and friendly and explained everything they needed to.We got a good deal on new frames too!I will be back :)

Very happy. :) I started to notice something was off with my old glasses (they were over 3 years old now, so probably a shift in my sight), I popped here to see what was going on and to give contacts a try. Very thorough and indeed my sight must've changed (explains the recurrent headaches I had been having too). Now I not only have flashy new, vintage style glasses, but also lenses to try. The teach was very good, no pressure, no rush, as it is strange first time doing it haha. But came away feeling confident I can do this and got good advice re wearing make up, cleaning my face etc in combo with contacts. For a first timer, very useful! Definitely returning in future. :)

The practice gives excellent service, with staff who are very polite and friendly. Yesterday I had an eye test due to recent occurrence of flashes. The optometrist was very through in assessing my situation and immediately referred me to Whipps cross eye treatment centre where by they confirmed her prognosis. I am very relieved that the situation is under control and it would not have been identified, if it hadn?t been for her.I always go this practice as they also stock a wide range of glasses to choose from.All in all, great opticians to go.

I have been visiting Aquila for contact lenses for many years and always very happy with the care and attention they give you. Recently had sight test and got some glasses from them. Really impressed with the advice and help given from start to finish. Especially with choosing frames to suit me - good honest help! Lovely staff and relaxed friendly approach to make you feel comfortable.

Myself and my children have been patients here for some years now after being recommended by the Southend Hospital ophthalmology department when our daughter was diagnosed with an eye condition. We saw the new gentleman today who was incredibly knowledgable and reassured us about the condition and gave very good advice about the contact lenses my daughter had been wearing for years which she?d never been told before ! Lots of new information that was gratefully received. We have always found the staff helpful, polite and friendly.

I have been using Aquila for the last 4 years and have always found the team there to be knowledgeable and friendly. There is a wide range of frames available to try with a variety of different lenses to suit all wallets/purses. Would definitely recommend.

Aquila Opticians is by far the best opticians I have been to. The team worked together to ensure my test was carried out effectively, quickly and comfortably. They ensured I was extremely comfortable with the glasses I had chosen before I decided to spend my money. The team were all very helpful, polite and welcoming. The selection was huge, making me spoilt for choice. I did not feel at all rushed-my experience was easy and relaxed. The glasses I received were of an amazing quality, and I am beyond pleased with them.I would definitely recommended this opticians to everyone.

Having been a patient for over 15 years and having good service from the actual optician I will most definitely NOT be going again. The sales service on glasses and lenses is dreadful - glasses are not ready when promised, customer handling is appalling, payment department is disorganised, constant excuses from under trained staff and no accountability. Apologies are all very well but it's always the customer that's inconvenienced. Definitely NOT RECOMMENDED
