We have stayed in this Premier Inn a few times now when travelling from Norfolk to Southend and given it good reviews.Our last visit was completely different and we will not be back or the rest of our family.

Lovely experience here this February. Enjoyed some good meals in the restaurant next door? and any other amenity u may need is within a 5-10 drive.

Very clean, comfortable room with good friendly customer service ??However I'd never buy breakfast again with a Premier Inn room because the attached Beefeater pub was badly maintained and had poor standards of cleanliness such as many unclean plates and coffee cups which still had old food and stains after being washed. Then breakfast milk which was sour even though being told by staff it was fresh that day ??

Food and service has gone down hill for breakfast ,coffee bitter, not presented on plate nice , and most stuff in continental breakfast runs out , always for breakfast only one staff on seating you , talking food order, and collecting plates so lots of tables were being left dirty ,

They have introduced parking charges. £5 a night. Hotel is now looking a little tired.

Location great, can have beefeater or another place round a corner or if fancy dirty takeaway kebab just across the road.Room spacious and clean. Needed to iron creased shirt, no problem to get iron. Very polite receptionist.Rooms: Great spacious room.Food & drinks: Food and drink very close, and you have choice.

I stayed here recently for Christmas as we were visiting family (4nights). The Staff were very helpful, friendly & accommodating, The Rooms were very clean, and had everything you required, nice fresh quality towels, tea/coffee facilities, bed was clean & comfortable, room cleaned & changed towels every day as requested & very well priced with choice of breakfast at The Beefeater Restaurant (we didn't use on this occasion) l have given 5 Stars as it met our family needs l have stayed here on a number of occasions and would happily do so again and highly recommendRooms: The Rooms were of a decent size beds very comfortable & clean and good clean bathroom/shower facilities also mirrors & dressing table area excellent allowing you to dry your hair easily with hairdryer supplied and perfectly positioned wardrobe space sufficient with storage for shoes etc.controllable heating therefore keeping your room at your desired temperature. My daughter stayed in a family room which was the same standardSafety: I liked the idea you can only access your rooms using your key card therefore no one unauthorized could gain entry which made me feel safe

Stayed over for daughter's football game on a Friday night in December.. Meet & greet staff were both lovely. Room wasnt bad BUT bloody cold! Thermostat didn't rise above 16 deg so really cold after a good hot shower (am or pm) The average home stat is set at 19 deg so although 16 is the minimum working temperature it is COLD for showering, dressing or just relaxing. The lady on reception said it was a company directive to reduce the temp. (Good for their fuel bills and the environment but I expect more for my £70+)On a good note no more very hot rooms ??.I would stay to here again but will take a small heater just incase!

Good hotel for the price. Excellent customer service from Karen at reception after mix up in booking times. Room was clean and tidy allround one of the better Premier Inns. My only gripe is the rubbish strewn brook running beside the hotel.

Receptionist was very warm and welcoming, was midnight and she was very helpful.Room very clean, immaculate bathroom. Sheets were damp to the touch though, but were clean.Would NOT recommend booking breakfast next door though.Very poor service, manager extremely rude and was moaning about guests to other staff members.Had 10.30 slot, and was no continental breakfast left, no plates, was a spillage on the sticky floor that wasn't dealt with. Really not worth it.
