I attended the Basildon store and was warmly greeted by the staff, who helped me with a replacement door handle, which I had try to resource elsewhere without any luck.The young lady who served me was brilliant measuring my existing handle and matching it to one they had in stock. Exceptional first time experience.

First time using... won't be using again!!Payed for next day delivery, only to receive an email stating they'll be delivered on the 'next available working day'... I'm guessing of their choice.I now have an unhappy customer, I'm not so happy myself.

These guys are amazing!We've recently been carrying out a home renovation and have come across services and trades people that are difficult & convoluted to use in various aspects.IronmongeryDirect have been amongst the few stand out stars who have:-An easy to use website-A very generous and easy returns policy-A human to speak to over the phone!You won't be waiting long to speak to someone and they can genuinely help and provide information without putting you on hold or transferring you elsewhere.They have a wide variety of products in different finishes. We ordered a lot from them and returned any unused excess (within the returns timeframe) without any trouble. We specifically used them for door handles, escutcheons and various lock mechanisms and were happy with the outcome and finishes.Very competitive prices and I would use again and recommend!

If you order from ironmongery direct please expect your items not to arrive on time or they get lost or they get broken on delivery. You can pay for next day delivery but that would not happen, if you are counting on Ironmongery direct to finish your work you better off finding the parts elsewhere. Three orders I had with ironmongery direct the three orders where over 5 days late. They will tell you there is nothing they can do apart from waiting or cancelling your order. Pointless if you are going to wait and then cancel your order might aswell buy it from elsewhere. Please guys don't waste your time with them

The customer service at this company is amazing. Had a slight issue with one of my orders so I sent a email, I then had Aimee call me within 15 minutes organising my order for me. Will definitely be using these guys again!

Dreadful issues in attempting to return any items. The website says that any returns will be refunded with in 10days. Not true. I would not deal with this company again

Whilst the item I was sent was absolutely what I ordered I was hugely disappointed with the postage costs and its packing.An 8cm by 0.8cm bar delivered in a huge envelope envelope was 27x19cms!?Brian? from DPD felt it necessary to knock on my door when the envelope fitted through my letterbox!

Another let down from ironmongery direct! 3rd in a row. Seems to be the same issue as others. They don't bother letting you know if items are out of stock. It shouldn't be that hard. If you're a professional don't use them! They'll let you down.

Connected customer service re missing items. Advised new item would be forwarded to me but after several phone calls and emails replacement did not arrive.I had to purchase the missing items myself from another source incurring extra cost and my time
