“Glenn, Charlie and Tye from Connect Floors recently did some work on our home. Glenn, as the project manager, was extremely helpful from the outset, giving us options on different flooring types and potential things we might want to consider, without trying to push particular products on us, which we really appreciated. When Glenn came along with his lovely fitters to start the installation, they quickly found damp under our flooring and had to break the bad news that they couldn’t proceed knowing that it was there and that we would need a survey and some work done before they could continue. Many fitters at this point would’ve gone ahead with the work anyway and hoped for the best, but they expressed that they take great pride in their work and wouldn’t want to do this knowing things could go wrong a little down the line. While this was extremely frustrating, we were so grateful for their honesty despite the fact that it caused a lot of disruption to their schedule. They recommended a contractor for us to contact, who was absolutely brilliant, and liaised with him directly to get the work done as quickly and as efficiently as possible, while keeping us in the loop with excellent communication throughout. When the fitters came back after the necessary works had been completed, they discovered more issues with the levelling of our floor, and again they went above and beyond to make sure the floor could go down as soon as possible (before Christmas! When it would’ve been far easier for them to fit us in after, but they knew it was important to us.) Charlie and Tye came back in several times to perfect the surface before laying the floor. Their pricing was extremely fair in the first instance, but considering all the extra work they needed to do, and product they needed to buy, they did not use this as an opportunity to make more money when they very reasonably could’ve done, but they cut the costs for us as much as they could, even to the expense of themselves at one point. The fitters were very friendly, professional and tidied up after themselves afterwards, and they even fit us in on a day when they weren’t supposed to be working to get it done before Christmas. We could not be more grateful to this wonderful company and their wonderful employees for everything they’ve done for us, I would recommend them in a heartbeat and will absolutely use them again in the future (if they’d dare come back to our house after all the problems we had..!). Thank you so so much for your hard work and professionalism. We are so happy with the outcome and it was definitely worth the wait.”
