A great experience from start to finish. At the start the manager was able to secure the carpet, even though it was not on their system, and at the end the fitter left a very tidy job. So happy we went with the team at Pipps Hill.

Great range of Carpets & Flooring. Large, clean store with friendly staff. Purchased a Carpet on Saturday, going to collect on Monday.
Steve the Salesman was incredibly knowledgeable, gave great advice, and was very thorough during the sales process. He made everything stress free and could deliver a quick turnaround for when the carpet is required.
A special shout out to Joe, who saw me struggling with my 2 year old and 3 years old while trying to finalise the purchase. He approached with a smile, calm voice, colouring books & pencils, fruit shoots and a jar of sweets as incentive for who could colour in the best picture. He took the children to the nearest sofa (within sight), sat them down and encouraged them to be creative while talking to them and making sure they were well looked after and entertained.
When Steve tied up the last bit of paperwork, and I went to retrieve the children (more like rescue Joe) and I managed to talk to him for a bit and say thank you for distracting the children so I could talk with Steve without interruption. Joe was so kind, full of empathy and compassion and had a lovely manner. He restored my faith in humanity this weekend. We need more Joe?s in this world!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Our experience with Carpetright Basildon was a nightmare. It took nearly four months to finally have a simple stair runner installed correctly, and the process was riddled with incompetence from start to finish.
We had multiple visits from different people just to take measurements, yet every single time, the runner was installed incorrectly, wrong measurements, damaged carpets - you name it . The level of incompetence and lack of urgency from this company is completely unacceptable. There was no accountability, no clear communication, and no real effort to resolve the issues efficiently.
If you?re considering Carpetright Basildon for getting your carpet done, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Save yourself the frustration, time, and stress by choosing a company that actually knows what they?re doing.

Steve was brilliant and helped to get our vinyl flooring sorted. The gentleman who came to do our measuring was very professional. The men who fitted the floors were very good. The only downside is I wish they told us in the store that they cannot drill to fit the treshhold strips, had a hard time finding a stick on tape that matches the color.

Great sales man, Joe was really helpful by informing me of the positives of each of the carpets I was interested in. Constant communication to keep me updated with the date of fitting which was a great help. Carpet fitter did a super job. Will use again when I come to do another areas of my flat

All staff were excellent!
So helpful, very pleasant and professional.
Rob the laminate fitter, did an amazing job for us. And left everything clean and tidy afterwards.
He was very nice, definitely recommend.
And Lisa, the Manager was also extremely nice. Very pleasant manner, and helpful.

If no stars was an option then I would have selected that. Lisa the manager is rude and has no levels of customer service whatsoever. Alan the carpet fitter is equally rude, weird and unreliable. I should have trusted the Google reviews and avoided. I?m now left with a slit in brand new carpet, which they had the audacity to accuse me of doing. And no carpet in my hallway as Alan cancelled the appointment without any warning or notice. It was only when I rang him to check in that he notified me he wouldn?t be coming. Bunch of cowboys the lot of them. Avoid!
