Hi there,On 31st of January at 20:00 myself and my wife have had a booking for a set meal at Chigwell?s branched restaurant and were completely let down by several issues occurring non-stop at your restaurant.After being sat down our order was taken and later a wrong order was sent to us and placed on our table with us having to wait for the steaks to be swapped, good that we did not started eating it. Then the wrong salad has been given to us as we requested a salad with no bacon and bacon on top of the salad was brought to us - once again we had to wait for it to be changed ruining of a smooth new years eve dinner.Later a clumsy waitress dropped some liquid near our shoes due to them rushing and making mistakes, no toilet tissue in the bathroom.Later once we wanted to order the desserts from your set menu, whole day we were waiting for eton mess only to be told that the branch has ran out of the eton mess dessert? Why we were not told this upon arrival? And we have made a booking for a set menu only to find out you actually have ran out of the dessert that we wanted to eat? Being advertised that on the set menu as a choice.Also when the bill was brought to us and extra charge was added to chunky chips 2x but we only had 1x chunky chips, but we did not bother to discuss this as the whole evening was already ruined due to number of events happening especially when we arrive from far to have a set menu that we want and to be told they ran out of it? Especially when the other desserts were not enjoyable and we had to choose something random that we did not even enjoy.Totally unacceptable after paying such a price and not receiving the menu choice that was advertised on such an important night.Will not return to such disgraced place, we used to come here but now we will not spend money on a place where they take money and can?t even provide a service of menu which they promise.Nobody should book set menu with these people, they run out of stuff and make you choose other items which is simply not what supposed to happen. If it?s a set menu, we should be able to choose what we want and not be told you ran out of the product.I also sent a message on their website to complaint?s department, no reply what so ever.

First visit to Chigwell & was very impressed Will definitely be going back. We had a sharing steak which was amazing asked our waitress Clare to thank the chef his name was Dan,, thank you all for a wonderful meal.

We had a wake yesterday at M&C Chigwell and the bar service by David was outstanding. He kept a nice atmosphere for us and lovely aura. Really happy with the service in general. Definitely will be coming back for a nice evening drink with my husband because of David?s

Came to the Miller & Carter the other Friday for a nice family night out! The food was great, as always and we had a lovely waitress Sally who was so helpful and accommodating to our family, a lovely way to start the weekend. Will definitely be back!!

We were served by James who was very professional and friendly. He didn't write any of our order down, there were 4 of us. We all had different meals. However, he remembered the drinksstarters and main. The meal was lovely. The restaurant was warm and cozy. Excellent service

The most dreadful experience I have had in nearly thirty years. We were a party of twelve, with two teenagers and three children in their controllable years and the rest adults. Our 7.30pm booked table was running late, which was not a problem. We got to sit down and it was another fifty before we got a starter, another forty minutes before we got a main meal, that came in dribs and drabs. They got three of the steaks wrong, obviously rushed and hardly cooked. My burger was barely warm so that went back. The children became tired and restless. This awful experience cost around a whopping nearly four hundred and twenty pounds. They clearly cannot cater for such a large number on a Saturday evening, therefore shouldn't of done. They should have offered us something back or a round of free drinks for such a horrid experience.Parking: Very dark in some parts of the car park.

Great food here and a great atmosphere. It's a nicely designed interior and the staff are very friendly. Whoever thought of the lettuce in-between course is a genius. Also love the beef dripping sauce.Parking: Loads of parking massive car park. Huge beer garden too.

An awful experience. We had to wait for our booked table but that wasn't a problem. Once we ordered which took fifteen minutes, the starters took about fifty minutes to arrive, they were okay. It took another forty five minutes go get our main meal. That was shocking, three of our steaks were wrongly cooked, my chicken burger was barely warm, I sent it back and what returned wasn't very nice at all. We didn't bother with desserts as it took so long. We were a party of twelve, seven adults and five controlable aged teenagers and children. They simply couldn't cater for that number so shouldn't have done. This cost over four hundred and twenty pounds and that was an utter waste. They need to put so many wrongs to right here I feel

Visited this evening for an impromptu dinner, after plans were cancelled. Haven't been to this restaurant in years after moving out of the area. We were looked after perfectly by James this evening, who was attentive and professional throughout..an asset to the team! Will be back again sooner next time :)

Booked for my 7 year old Daugthers bday and could not be more happy with my choice.We had a big party of 15 and the restaurant and staff were brilliantly accommodating.The food was amazing from starter to desert and the lady who looked after our table was incredible.Could not thank the staff here anymore, a great afternoon had by all ?

Attended with little notice and we were accommodated excellently.All dishes were fantastic. I?d highly recommend steaks! Medium rare.The service that we had was exemplaryLoved every moment of attending this restaurant, experience and food.And not to forget that there is parking in the back of restaurant.

I have been to this restaurant many times with my family for special occasions and they have always been so accommodating, kind, funny and patient. I know serving large groups can often be a pain but the staff here are so awesome. The last few times my family and I went there for my Brother?s, Mother's and Father?s birthdays on separate occasions, we were served by Emily and Julie among other wonderful staff who were all superstars! Emily and Julie in particular have taken care of us many times and they made the experience perfect for us and are the reason (along with the steak) that we keep going back! Thank you so much? see you again soon!
