I was lucky that all NHS mental health hospitals had no availability. I was in Priory Ticehurst for over 4 weeks. I feel that everything was above my expectations. The staff are friendly and helpful. Very unprofessional..felt belittled and unimportant when he took a phone call about his car during my assessment. It's a big deal to get yourself mentally prepared..and at a cost of £360 for the hr. Simply not good enough

i cannot express what the place has done to me. i was sectioned here for over 2 months and it was the worst and most traumatic experience of my life. there’s too much to go into to even describe details - all that i will say is that watch the documentary of ticehurst priory that’s on youtube. nothing has changed

Priory Hospital Ticehurst House has been providing excellent mental health treatment for over 225 years. Our inpatient and outpatient programmes treat conditions such as depression, anxiety and addiction. We are in a beautiful location in the peaceful East Sussex village of Ticehurst. Our private grounds have 48 acres of landscaped gardens in which to enjoy quiet reflection. and aid recovery. Ticehurst House is accessed from Central London and the Home Counties, with close proximity to the A21 and the town of Wadhurst too. We also have strong clinical links with Life Works in Surrey, which offers inpatient eating disorder services, along with Priory Hospital Hayes Grove. Patients can also be referred for addiction services at Hayes Grove.
