Can't beat a bit of screwfix.com walk in ask questions, get helpful advise, pay and leave with what you need, you can check stock online before you go, and now in some branches you can call the trade counter for quotes with discounts on top of discounts. Double Bruce bonus!

Screwfix is not Screwfix of old, not quite as sharp on the prices, but still a fairly reliable goto place for bits and pieces. Loose a star for unnecessary sponsorship and advertising instead of keeping pricing down

It was unfortunate for me that the Bexhill branch did not have in stock the a garden hose that I required,Uckfield branch was was the only one with 2,I did ask if I could pay and the hose be delivered to the Bexhill store I was told this was not possible and that I would have to go there myself, i paid £62 at Bexhill and collected it from Uckfield after a 40 mile trip.I'm very surprised that Screwfix could not accommodate my request and very dissatisfied considering the size of the business.
